British And Proud...

DC

Recommended Posts

I have had Radio 1 on all day. On Newsbeat at lunchtime they said that al-quackeda or somthin had released at statement on a website saying that they did theis because of "the slaughters that British troops caused in Afghanistan and Iraq". Well i say that is BS, because they commit more slaughter of the people they say they are standing up for in one day. Than the Americans and we have killed in all the time of the war on terror.

A muslim leader has just been on TV aparrently saying that they (who did this) are scum. Fair play to him, not only do they hurt us. But they give good law abiding Muslims who do no wrong a bad name.

What p*sses me of most of all is the fact that the ppl who did this, probably grew up in this country. This country gave them everything, and yet they choose to go and fight for some dustbowl that has never gave them anything. And for what!? Because Allah said so?!! Fk em!

Well I have one thing to say to these b*stards

FCUK U!

They can never win, they are to weak and cowardly to take us on man to man. Blair looked p*ssed of at them today, and I dont blame him. I knew this day would come, it will just make us stronger like it did with America. Here are some pics to say we are way better than those w*nkers at al-quackeda headquaters will ever be.

Ha, we have been through worse haven't we. I mean the IRA gave us tons more stick than what these d*ckheads will, for example Canary Wharf, and they shot missiles at the MI5 headquaters. And the second world war what we went through! Well, these guys can't scratch the surface.

I mean why dont they just give up, with stuff in Iraq as well. I mean did they honestly think beheading Ken Bigley and the other two American hostages, and bombing our troops will stop us?! FK WILL IT! They should just give up, go in a corner and die. The newschannels p*ss me off big-time. Because they say "ohh! Al-Queda this, and they are this strong and that strong" Fk are they, are they forgetting our power?!?

Agreed. Find out where these terrorists come from (there are some left alive those who planned it. They should be found and so should their home country), then start attacking their crowded places with innocent people who have no fkin influance on the country's descisions, and see if they like it.

Then tell them, "attack us again, and we will wipe out your country totally".

But i guess thats why older, wiser men run the country instead of people like me. Because if I did, there would be no more middle east.

Yes, put a bet on that we are all over this by next week. Unlike the Yanks, they still aren't over theirs yet lol. But I guess we are used to it. An American woman was on news 24 earlier saying she couldn't belive how organised we were and calm. She said if it were in stateside, it would be all panic...

You said it. You're posts show your naivety regarding politics.

the older, the wiser. Do you think if president Kennedy was an 18 year old man at the time that they were beefing with the Russians that we would of still been here. No we wouldn't of been, if he was 18 at the time he would of said "fk it lets nuke em". Some cases call for war, but it proves my point that because he was older he was able to see the other way around things.

Thats one of the reasons why young men are in the army, the lack of care and understanding for emotion. And if they dont have families, it makes them into better fighting machines.

No Britain is the name for all five countries of the British Isles... (the 4 of the UK and the Republic of Ireland)

I agree though, whoever did this deserves all the s**t they get, I'm not much of a patriot, but I do have a deep love for the City of London, as it happens to be my hometown.

    • On July 8th Greg will surpass Grimmy's tenure on Radio 1 breakfast (5 years, 319 days) as the second-longest breakfast show presenter. He has already passed Tony Blackburn and Sim Mayo. I'm not sure if he will make Moyles' record of 8 years, 253 days, but he certainly still seems fresh and full of ideas!
    • I guess we'll have to wait and see when the new schedule kicks in, although I could see Scott staying where he is.  Assuming that's the case and there are no other moves, there would be several available studios for Matt & Mollie - 82C or 82E of the 'old' studios, and 82M or 82N of the new ones.
    • The BBC commissioning brief mentions it is a 'mid morning show' for Radio 1 Dance https://www.bbc.co.uk/commissioning/radio/documents/comm_brief_r1_dance_morning_show.pdf
    • Nothing to apologise about, I was just intrigued on how DS and UM react
    • I would be pretty confident that if they keep avoiding using James Cusack on that slot over the next few weeks, then it will probably be him that gets the show permanently!
    • That’s two names who probably won’t be doing that slot permanently then.
    • Moyles spent most of the 52hr sgow calling him that lol
    • I stand guilty as charged as the DS poster.... It was I Okay, so yes Connor has good energy and does the show well, I take it back, however, my last experience of him he spent every other link saying "It's Connor Coates in for the ledge that is Charlie Hedges" and then he started saying "Clem Douglas" - again after critisising that I see she is styled as that sometimes The point I was trying to make was, yes we know it's Charlies show, we know she is a ledge, and we know she is not here today, no need to keep reminding us Regards R1 dance, I suspect Arielle is pointed at the drivetime slot to go against Mistajam unless we know it is breakfast that will be live ? Apologies to Connor and anyone offended by my comments, was just going on my past experience of Mr Coates, who seems to be a very competnt presenter
    • I know we have discussed this before, but can someone shed some light hoping @Lily Georgia can help Since the Wogan House closure, and 1-330 from Manchester, studio 82A (Mills) has been used by Scott's R2 show, in fact i note that him and Grandad Nelson are from there now days The question I have is with 1-330 coming from London again soon, who is getting a new studio? will Scott move to one of the newer ones down the corridor or will he remain in 82A and M&M get a new studio They cannot use 82D as that is used for drive, and currenlty 82A is in use by Scott from 2-4pm In the old days it used to be 82A for Greg, Scott, Annie and 82D Adele, RMC, Drive, Jack I note that Jack is in a brand new studio so maybe M&M will come from that one as well, maybe the same one as Vine uses?
    • Maia Beth is doing Friday Early Breakfast on 7th & 14th June.
    • Joel Mitchell is in for Nat on Sunday 9th June.
    • Ore Olukoga is on 13.00-16.00 on Friday 31st May and Friday 7th June.  Nikita Kanda is doing Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June.
    • Very pleased for producer Amy - it's no coincidence many of the best shows in recent years have had her working on them. You can tell her & Helena are a great production duo and that the whole Matt & Mollie team are a really close-knit unit in general. Some lovely speeches by both Matt & Mollie too to end the show on Sunday.
    • Echo what most have said here. Connor has great energy which is important for that sort of slot and the shame for him is that the dance line-up is so strong that there's no obvious 'in' for him to get a regular slot -Danny, Sarah, Pete Tong, Arielle, Charlie Hedges, Jerry and Charlie Tee are all great in their slots. A live show on Radio 1 Dance really feels the obvious way to get a proper foot in the door at Radio 1. Although to be fair to the DS critic I think it was just the one poster and can very much hear Connor in my head saying 'in for the legend that is Charlie Hedges'.
