Haha not too long actually. Those gaps would be filled with non-stop music on loop and 'Best of Radio 1' if I had my way. And maybe a few random Westwood style sound effects 8)

Of course not, I don't listen at those times so I guess I'd leave those specialist shows as they are.

Welcome back by the way. Nice short absence as I predicted. ;)

Hmm lets see now:

MON - FRI

04:00 - 07:00 - Matt Edmonson

07:00 - 10:00 - Vernon Kay (He's the only one who can realisticly replace Chris)

10:00 - 13:00 - Sara Cox (Queen of Daytime)

13:00 - 16:00 - Greg James

16:00 - 19:00 - Scott Mills (Still amazing in this slot)

SAT

07:00 - 10:00 - Nihal (Did this slot justice)

10:00 - 13:00 - Saturday Lie in with Huw Stephens (Completely underused)

13:00 - 16:00 - Edith Bowman

16:00 - 19:00 - The Chris Moyles Request Show

SUN

07:00 - 10:00 - Nihal

10:00 - 13:00 - Sunday Lie in with Huw Stephens

16:00 - 19:00 - The Chris Moyles Chart Show

19:00 - 22:00 - Jo Whiley's Evening Show (Including a Live Lounge feature)

So where does that leave the others? Fearne, Reggie and Dev will "pursue other projects" Ditch Switch. Sorted I feel.

No, I believe you didn't. You're forgiven though, I'm content enough being blessed with your presence here on UM even if you choose to ignore me and my attempts at showing I care ;)

By the way, who's that in your avatar lil piccy under your screen name?

Aww :( I do appreciate your attempts of care, even if I ignore them (: But you know, Ines might appreciate them more.. Hahaa.. ;)

THAT, my friend (I have never said that before.. Vernon Kay uses it a lot, though.. My Friend.. :L) is AARON. Aaron Livesy off of Emmerdale (cringe..). The love of my life. Mentioned in my signature - Danny Miller: The actor who plays him. :)

Ooooh okay, never heard of him. I actually thought it was Plan B at first. And about Ines, I left a comment on her wall on Sunday and 4 days later I'm still patiently waiting for a reply

Ahh, yeah, I see what you mean about Plan B, because of the suit, court, etc.. I am actually in love with Plan B at the moment! Downloaded both his albums the other day (:

That is totally unlike Ines.. Well, she hardly reply's to me :( Sent me a message on Twitter earlier though! I will tell her to reply to you, I'm sure she'll be pleased that you are counting the days! (:

    • The BBC commissioning brief mentions it is a 'mid morning show' for Radio 1 Dance https://www.bbc.co.uk/commissioning/radio/documents/comm_brief_r1_dance_morning_show.pdf
    • Nothing to apologise about, I was just intrigued on how DS and UM react
    • I would be pretty confident that if they keep avoiding using James Cusack on that slot over the next few weeks, then it will probably be him that gets the show permanently!
    • That’s two names who probably won’t be doing that slot permanently then.
    • Moyles spent most of the 52hr sgow calling him that lol
    • I stand guilty as charged as the DS poster.... It was I Okay, so yes Connor has good energy and does the show well, I take it back, however, my last experience of him he spent every other link saying "It's Connor Coates in for the ledge that is Charlie Hedges" and then he started saying "Clem Douglas" - again after critisising that I see she is styled as that sometimes The point I was trying to make was, yes we know it's Charlies show, we know she is a ledge, and we know she is not here today, no need to keep reminding us Regards R1 dance, I suspect Arielle is pointed at the drivetime slot to go against Mistajam unless we know it is breakfast that will be live ? Apologies to Connor and anyone offended by my comments, was just going on my past experience of Mr Coates, who seems to be a very competnt presenter
    • I know we have discussed this before, but can someone shed some light hoping @Lily Georgia can help Since the Wogan House closure, and 1-330 from Manchester, studio 82A (Mills) has been used by Scott's R2 show, in fact i note that him and Grandad Nelson are from there now days The question I have is with 1-330 coming from London again soon, who is getting a new studio? will Scott move to one of the newer ones down the corridor or will he remain in 82A and M&M get a new studio They cannot use 82D as that is used for drive, and currenlty 82A is in use by Scott from 2-4pm In the old days it used to be 82A for Greg, Scott, Annie and 82D Adele, RMC, Drive, Jack I note that Jack is in a brand new studio so maybe M&M will come from that one as well, maybe the same one as Vine uses?
    • Maia Beth is doing Friday Early Breakfast on 7th & 14th June.
    • Joel Mitchell is in for Nat on Sunday 9th June.
    • Ore Olukoga is on 13.00-16.00 on Friday 31st May and Friday 7th June.  Nikita Kanda is doing Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June.
    • Very pleased for producer Amy - it's no coincidence many of the best shows in recent years have had her working on them. You can tell her & Helena are a great production duo and that the whole Matt & Mollie team are a really close-knit unit in general. Some lovely speeches by both Matt & Mollie too to end the show on Sunday.
    • Echo what most have said here. Connor has great energy which is important for that sort of slot and the shame for him is that the dance line-up is so strong that there's no obvious 'in' for him to get a regular slot -Danny, Sarah, Pete Tong, Arielle, Charlie Hedges, Jerry and Charlie Tee are all great in their slots. A live show on Radio 1 Dance really feels the obvious way to get a proper foot in the door at Radio 1. Although to be fair to the DS critic I think it was just the one poster and can very much hear Connor in my head saying 'in for the legend that is Charlie Hedges'.
    • James Cusack is in for Jack on Friday 14th June, doing the chart while Jack is at Download.
    • I remember hearing Amy first on Scotts show and she was great on that, the daft quiz questions always made me smile. It's really nice to see the hard work has paid off for them all.
