Agreed with the likelihood of this but when she is given a generic show it can either make or brake your career. I understand that covering someone else’s show unless you have built up a large audience and a listeners like Scott did with his breakfast stint it would be barely a must listen. But maybe got to give Nat some chance.

I think RMC are doing really well in the mid-morning slot now. Originally it was just a boring and bland show with nothing much in it. But now that they're putting way more personality into their links and doing all sorts of random bits and bobs, even when one or more of the trio is missing, it makes up for the commercial radio background noise format of the show.

Likewise in agreement.  He really let down a totally untarnished image with some of that behaviour.
You can guarantee next time something like this happens the BBC will axe them immediately with no goodbye or at least put firm restrictions in place for them staying on air.

Going to disagree on the best presenter on the station he was a lot better many years ago peaked on drive. Katie Thistleton & Jack Saunders are now up in the stations best presenters.

I agree, I think if he hadn’t addressed his gripe over not getting to his end of his contract at Radio 2 as he was actively promoting his new show at Greatest Hits and his more old grumpish attitude of ‘I don’t like new music’ he would have made his tenure at the BBC look a lot nicer 

Not that it makes the slightest dent in his handsome pay check, but I think KB has managed to make a right tit of himself, over the whole course of his move to GHR. And to think that, last year, he was the un-disputed king of mid-mornings ...

If Ken regards new music as something from 2002 then his time had come I'm afraid. A lot of Radio 2's new music on their playlist is from established artists like Bev Knight, Keane, Simply Red etc. They are even playing a new song from Dolly Parton at the moment. 

I think he’s very marmite and doesn’t have the popularity and listener support that Steve Wright and Ken Bruce had when they moved from their daytime shows on the station. I think maybe because Vine is more vocal figure. I think if Jeremy Vine left to focus on making programming with Channel 5 don’t think there would be as many listeners who would be wishing for him to stay on as some of the stations roster. It felt that there wasn’t as big of a reaction to Vanessa Feltz departure the other newsy type broadcaster in recent time.

At this point I’ve got to agree to disagree if she wanted to shut it off she wouldn’t do the have some respect marlarky and did the radio drama. On two different sides of the fence on this one.

Stop speculating it wasn't personal a presenter is allowed to not be sold on that one and shouldn’t have to watch their mouth on that one Charlie shouldve taken it on the chin.

It did seem like a good RAJAR for all the youth stations BBC Radio 1, Capital, Capital Dance, Kiss Dance all seem to be on the up.

I honestly think Charlie could’ve done better by hitting the music and slamming the mics earlier. If you are going to put a drunk person in their place, you do it off air and put the mics down and don’t allow it to be heard. Play how many tracks you need to before you can move on. I would doubt she’d get sacked. If she is unhappy with any ‘investigation’ or disciplinary action Free would be the one likely to jump ship rather than told to go. But can’t see either party would want it to lead to a departure.

This has been one of my favourite types of Summer games so far. As mentioned above, it’s quite relaxed, and nice to hear so many different presenters involved and interacting in different ways.
I appreciate that something like this has to be co-ordinated and therefore ‘staged’ to a certain extent, but it feels a lot less contrived than some of the previous years events. Just seems like a fairly wholesome bit of chaos for everyone to engage with so far, which has been fun I think.

I think it has been a better game to the past few years after the first one it feels a bit more relaxed, simplified and haven’t over complicated things. As always with these things it seems very orchestrated and easy to see that the production team has thought of what goes where. What it can be said that unlike previous editions of a summer game it has been more calculated marketing that considers the whole stations brand of featuring presenters of all its programming and reminds people of the good specialist programme the station has off-peak times.

I hope one of the presenters is in Fleet South Bound at the Scott Mills Bridge.

Kind of feel if you post something in the public realm only post it if you are comfortable for people knowing where it came from I’m one of those believe it when I see it people. Probably part how I despise magicians nothing too serious or personal.
