Radio 2 in the Park 2024

It's just the moment anyone is out of a Studio, I don't tend to like it, that's all. I don't like the 'feel' of someone at a distance, and not where I normally expect them to be.

That said, this morning's show was better, and I enjoyed people shouting across the Atlantic Ocean, as if the distance meant they had to shout. Very funny!!

Yeah listened a bit this morning. Loving the photos Chris put up of the billboard thing he and Sophie appeared on in Times Square.

To be honest, if they hadn't mentioned anything about location, I would never have guessed Chris was in another studio, all sounded pretty seamless and slick to me.

The only giveaway is that Aled sometimes isn't quite hitting the buttons at the right time. A couple of times you could hear him muttering in the background

If Chris does fly home during the week so misses a show will Scott cover again?

Considering the rest of the team are around now I reckon they'd probably try to get Vernon in if Chris has to miss a show.

I wondered if Vernon was busy this week because would have thought it easier to have him on Monday espec as Dave, Tina and Aled were around.

Personally if Chris has to miss a show i think Radio 5 should lend back Chappers for 1 day and can have a Chappers and Dave breakfast show

I think now they'd leave it til the end of the week... they'll want to minimize disruption as much as possible. I think the team would be fine on it's own really, no stand-in required if it's just for one day...

I would rather they didn't as well - plus the friction between Vernon + Moyles' team tends to be unbearable.

It actually isn't so much that I think he (Vernon) is any kind of bad presenter, because he isn't... nice + lively + bright, but put him with the Moyles' team, and things take a very competitive turn, which is actually quite unpleasant to listen to. :-(

I'm guessing its by accident, but just after the breakdown before it goes back into 'The Chris Moyles Show....'. The counter the M4 player shows 14 secs remaining when you here it.

There is a noise of some sort that sounds like somebody says 'Alright?'

Ha, I thought I was the only one to notice that. It's been 'bugging' me since they launched in January. I originally thought it was Chris speaking when they were first played.
