Not sure if anyones aware but the links to the various team members on the "team page" don't show in Opera. - They work but its just blue space - It works in IE.

Not sure if there are any other problems - i haven't found any blatantly obvious ones.

Ive taken a screenshot-

Looking at the source code, the only thing I can see that could cause this is, there is an extra </ul> tag.

Also looking at the code using chrome inspector its showing no / at the end of the img tag. But looking at FF source code there is but its highlighted in red (might mean its not there) that could cause the problem too.

Will have to wait for an admin to take a look at it

Its nothing to do with the HTML. The extra </ul> shouldn't be there but it won't make any differance to the page, neither will the image tag as both are valid HTML.

Its the Javascript, pngfix.js

Remove the script and it works fine. Edit the script slightly and it also starts to work fine.

I can't be bothered looking into the actual Javascript to highlight a problem, i'll leave that to Jono or whoever is doing it!

The easiest option/workaround (if the script is needed elsewhere) is the change the team photos from PNGs to another format, JPGs or something.

aa, hmm, it's only for PNG transparency for IE (:/ ie).

This is the only problem having so many different browsers. It's can be a pain sometimes to get the coding to work in all browsers correctly.:x

Yeah but thats the exact problem. Its loads the images as you can see it happen, then it makes them completly transparent because it reads the Javascript file, or something like that.

Opera is a sh*t browser, but its always best to get them working in all of them, if possible.

Lol, I'm the awkward one.

I like opera in my opinion its better than IE and i don't like Firefox (it just doesn't seem right?). Although Safari is OK. (Don't ask why i have like 4 Internet browsers installed!)

I have them all apart from opera to check my coding works in all of them xD. Have you tried Chrome?

I'd save yourself the bother, it works just the same as all the other browsers and dosn't really do anything better!

I'm also sad and have all the browsers plus something called IETester which is great for checking all your code in IE's, especially with working on a mac.

Anyway, geekfest over for now.

strange, it's way beyond my knowledge. i tried some simple web design a few years ago, but i got pissed off with frontpage and gave up. i'll stick to mp3 encoding and video capping i think.

Not surprised. You should learn the code and then you'll enjoy it. I never enjoyed it until I learned HTML/CSS, etc....Now its just me and Textmate/Coda :)

    • I would be pretty confident that if they keep avoiding using James Cusack on that slot over the next few weeks, then it will probably be him that gets the show permanently!
    • That’s two names who probably won’t be doing that slot permanently then.
    • Moyles spent most of the 52hr sgow calling him that lol
    • I stand guilty as charged as the DS poster.... It was I Okay, so yes Connor has good energy and does the show well, I take it back, however, my last experience of him he spent every other link saying "It's Connor Coates in for the ledge that is Charlie Hedges" and then he started saying "Clem Douglas" - again after critisising that I see she is styled as that sometimes The point I was trying to make was, yes we know it's Charlies show, we know she is a ledge, and we know she is not here today, no need to keep reminding us Regards R1 dance, I suspect Arielle is pointed at the drivetime slot to go against Mistajam unless we know it is breakfast that will be live ? Apologies to Connor and anyone offended by my comments, was just going on my past experience of Mr Coates, who seems to be a very competnt presenter
    • "Grandad Nelson" lolllll 😂
    • I know we have discussed this before, but can someone shed some light hoping @Lily Georgia can help Since the Wogan House closure, and 1-330 from Manchester, studio 82A (Mills) has been used by Scott's R2 show, in fact i note that him and Grandad Nelson are from there now days The question I have is with 1-330 coming from London again soon, who is getting a new studio? will Scott move to one of the newer ones down the corridor or will he remain in 82A and M&M get a new studio They cannot use 82D as that is used for drive, and currenlty 82A is in use by Scott from 2-4pm In the old days it used to be 82A for Greg, Scott, Annie and 82D Adele, RMC, Drive, Jack I note that Jack is in a brand new studio so maybe M&M will come from that one as well, maybe the same one as Vine uses?
    • Maia Beth is doing Friday Early Breakfast on 7th & 14th June.
    • Joel Mitchell is in for Nat on Sunday 9th June.
    • Ore Olukoga is on 13.00-16.00 on Friday 31st May and Friday 7th June.  Nikita Kanda is doing Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June.
    • Very pleased for producer Amy - it's no coincidence many of the best shows in recent years have had her working on them. You can tell her & Helena are a great production duo and that the whole Matt & Mollie team are a really close-knit unit in general. Some lovely speeches by both Matt & Mollie too to end the show on Sunday.
    • Echo what most have said here. Connor has great energy which is important for that sort of slot and the shame for him is that the dance line-up is so strong that there's no obvious 'in' for him to get a regular slot -Danny, Sarah, Pete Tong, Arielle, Charlie Hedges, Jerry and Charlie Tee are all great in their slots. A live show on Radio 1 Dance really feels the obvious way to get a proper foot in the door at Radio 1. Although to be fair to the DS critic I think it was just the one poster and can very much hear Connor in my head saying 'in for the legend that is Charlie Hedges'.
    • James Cusack is in for Jack on Friday 14th June, doing the chart while Jack is at Download.
    • I remember hearing Amy first on Scotts show and she was great on that, the daft quiz questions always made me smile. It's really nice to see the hard work has paid off for them all.
    • Actually the worst tends to be those who comment on Radio Today news stories. People who haven’t listened to younger oriented radio stations in years who say things like “who?” about any job going to any presenter aged younger than 50.
    • Ahhh very happy for Amy - that’s very well deserved! I didn’t hear their final show but are Matt and Mollie keeping Helena? Hopefully she might be the main producer of their new show!
