OK....thanks to this site someone from Mexico has just added me on MSN and asked me to tell them everything about the show like what music and artists you can listen to, if the show is comical and what type of topics they talk about so that the person can do some homework about Scott Mills. Anyone else find this weird?

I personally think Chappers flipped when he heard Scouting For Girls and has been given a week off to recover so that he doesn't burn the studio down (off of Koop FM).

Interesting really. Spreading the word of Mills all over the globe...;)

Beginning to think someone is setting me up here. Why would someone from Mexico be doing a homework on Scott Mills?

Why would anyone do their homework on Scott Mills?

I watched Neighbours today on Five. It was actually fairly interesting.

you know what i've just realised. we have to work more this month as it's a leap year. why don't we get an extra holiday in a leap year?

Good idea, actually. Holiday is always nice - and here is a good reason for it ;)

I hate school holidays, all the kids are wandering around town and are on public transport. Eurgh.

And it's Valentine's Day this week. You don't see many people celebrating this the way it's meant to be though do you? Sure, if you're loved up they do, but you don't see people sending genuine cards any more do you!

That Mexican Girl appears to be determined. She's joined and posted on here.

We'll see if she's from Mexico. I gave her Spanish instructions as to how to post a thread. ;)

She is speaking English perfectly to me on MSN. I dont think she is from Mexico as it just seems too strange that she would have homework about an English DJ. And the questions she is asking are a bit weird. I dont know....just doesnt feel right to me.

    • https://youtu.be/A_Cycjg5_9A?si=NiLTFeiTNWBExFoR   As barmy as Sam Ryder has now gone, as shown in this video. I'd still rather it than that bland Olly Alexander record.
    • I like Scott, and I listen to Rylan's show every week... they do sound great together on Eurovision etc but.. as for a daily show together, I don't think it would work. Rylan would probably have to reign it in a bit which would lose his appeal, otherwise it may become too chaotic, in my opinion. That Saturday slot is perfect for Rylan, his rapport with Sally Traffic and Lottie is great. I suppose it comes down to cost as well and if he would want a daily show?   Radio 2 are clearly happy with Scott's show, and considering he's just won Best Entertainment Show at the ARIA's, I can't see them changing much.
    • A win for Scott which is fantastic after the last few years he's been through!
    • Am I outnumbered for not wanting to work in radio? It feels like there's a lot of geeks that want a job in the industry here.
    • Thought Sam and Danni were robbed of an award.
    • OJ Borg is in for Trevor Nelson on the Rhythm Nation tonight (with Phill Williams on overnight). He's also in for Michael Ball for the next two Sundays (12th and 19th May). Ros Atkins (BBC's Analysis editior) is in for Jeremy Vine on Thursday. Another new name to Radio 2 is Oliver Hides from BBC Radio Wales. He sat in for Owain Wynn Evans yesterday and he's in again this Thursday (9th May) and Bank Holiday Monday (27th) Spoony in for Scott Mills from Tuesday 28th till Friday 31st May.
    • Thought they would make it easier to get to this event. There's been no communication from the council or organisers about travel, even though there's talk of train strikes. Smaller councils have done a better job.
    • They do sound good together, but I'm not sure Rylan will want the extra commitments.
    • I have accepted Chris is unlikely to join Scott's show, and that Chappers has moved on, but I still think he could do with a co-host. The most logical solution, I think, is Rylan. He appears more often on his show than not, and they are great together. Radio 2 could lose Rylan's Saturday show and extend his reach by appearing during the week. I think they'd be great!
    • Tattoo took a while to grow on me. I couldn't see the fuss until weeks after. We have a split household here where the war on Gaza is overshadowing an enjoyment. I'm hoping for a protest of some sort.
    • I've heard that the staging is very impressive.  That and him being "known" might prevent an embarrassing result.  I'm a terrible judge of Eurovision though as Tattoo is still so very meh to me.
    • Feels like after the success of Sam Ryder we are going back to our old ways. Olly Alexander's song is pretty weak. Anyone fancy our chances this year?
    • The more time goes on the more you think if they'd actually put some thought into it it should've been Vick & Katie from the start. A proven pairing and Katie ended up on the show anyway - whereas Katie's even mentioned she was only asked to join after the Jamie announcement And even by Going Home standards on time off, it's quite funny that a few months in we still haven't had a full week of the supposed line-up - and that's with a 4-day week.
