Katie Melua? Is she still going? Jesus, she lost the plot by the second song. 9 million bicycles or whatever it was.

Hurrah for Jack Penate, I'll be downloading his album at 8.30 tomorrow when it comes online on Napster. Can't wait. Should be good.

Imagine if he tried to sing that. I'd pay to see that. One for Rallyoke next year.

This one is good too. Really love Girls Aloud's cover of Teenage Dirtbag on the Established 1967 album.

They must be slightly annoyed that Sugababes used the same sound effects and got a Number 1 though.

Wow, Orange are offering a free PS3 if you sign up to their £40 a month tariff.

Could go both ways with this new weekend schedule, at the moment I'm not finding in that appealing, but curiosity is making me want to listen.

Kate Nash did a pretty good cover of Fluorescent Adolescent on Friday in the Live Lounge. As I put it, she was 'randomly funny'. She needs to lose the repetition of the word 'like' though.

Trouble with the chart show - you have to still play stuff most people have been tired of for a while.

See I'm not tired of this. This and The Hoosiers' Worried About Ray I've not heard properly in a few weeks. Says a lot about the chart when there's several songs from the same people though...

Nurses at Butlins shouting Matt Damon? Sounds like a fun night :D

They should think about getting a job!

So anyway, what are we all up to on this Sunday afternoon? Last night that Dance Anthems will be in the slot it deserves - so worth a listen!

From what I've read about BBC Switch, the television show reminds me of 'Top Of The Pops @ Play' or whatever the BBC Two equivalent was. Top Of The Pops Plus I think.

Must be a good life for Phil Collins. Giving them the rights to his song for a chocolate advert and getting the song in the Top 20 for several weeks.

God I'm talking about school memories with a friend, doesn't help having this sort of melodramatic music on!

Aw, you've all gone quiet. Must be tea time, which I would be having if people weren't so fussy about not having a family meal on Sunday.

    • The BBC commissioning brief mentions it is a 'mid morning show' for Radio 1 Dance https://www.bbc.co.uk/commissioning/radio/documents/comm_brief_r1_dance_morning_show.pdf
    • Nothing to apologise about, I was just intrigued on how DS and UM react
    • I would be pretty confident that if they keep avoiding using James Cusack on that slot over the next few weeks, then it will probably be him that gets the show permanently!
    • That’s two names who probably won’t be doing that slot permanently then.
    • Moyles spent most of the 52hr sgow calling him that lol
    • I stand guilty as charged as the DS poster.... It was I Okay, so yes Connor has good energy and does the show well, I take it back, however, my last experience of him he spent every other link saying "It's Connor Coates in for the ledge that is Charlie Hedges" and then he started saying "Clem Douglas" - again after critisising that I see she is styled as that sometimes The point I was trying to make was, yes we know it's Charlies show, we know she is a ledge, and we know she is not here today, no need to keep reminding us Regards R1 dance, I suspect Arielle is pointed at the drivetime slot to go against Mistajam unless we know it is breakfast that will be live ? Apologies to Connor and anyone offended by my comments, was just going on my past experience of Mr Coates, who seems to be a very competnt presenter
    • I know we have discussed this before, but can someone shed some light hoping @Lily Georgia can help Since the Wogan House closure, and 1-330 from Manchester, studio 82A (Mills) has been used by Scott's R2 show, in fact i note that him and Grandad Nelson are from there now days The question I have is with 1-330 coming from London again soon, who is getting a new studio? will Scott move to one of the newer ones down the corridor or will he remain in 82A and M&M get a new studio They cannot use 82D as that is used for drive, and currenlty 82A is in use by Scott from 2-4pm In the old days it used to be 82A for Greg, Scott, Annie and 82D Adele, RMC, Drive, Jack I note that Jack is in a brand new studio so maybe M&M will come from that one as well, maybe the same one as Vine uses?
    • Maia Beth is doing Friday Early Breakfast on 7th & 14th June.
    • Joel Mitchell is in for Nat on Sunday 9th June.
    • Ore Olukoga is on 13.00-16.00 on Friday 31st May and Friday 7th June.  Nikita Kanda is doing Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June.
    • Very pleased for producer Amy - it's no coincidence many of the best shows in recent years have had her working on them. You can tell her & Helena are a great production duo and that the whole Matt & Mollie team are a really close-knit unit in general. Some lovely speeches by both Matt & Mollie too to end the show on Sunday.
    • Echo what most have said here. Connor has great energy which is important for that sort of slot and the shame for him is that the dance line-up is so strong that there's no obvious 'in' for him to get a regular slot -Danny, Sarah, Pete Tong, Arielle, Charlie Hedges, Jerry and Charlie Tee are all great in their slots. A live show on Radio 1 Dance really feels the obvious way to get a proper foot in the door at Radio 1. Although to be fair to the DS critic I think it was just the one poster and can very much hear Connor in my head saying 'in for the legend that is Charlie Hedges'.
    • James Cusack is in for Jack on Friday 14th June, doing the chart while Jack is at Download.
    • I remember hearing Amy first on Scotts show and she was great on that, the daft quiz questions always made me smile. It's really nice to see the hard work has paid off for them all.
