It wasn't me...

Have you ever done anything bad, and blamed it on someone else?

I am lucky enough to have a brother who's 4 years younger than me.

Vomit on the carpet.... must be him; don't know how a 12 year old got hold of several litres of Strongbow, but that's beside the point.

Not sure my mother entirely believed me, now I come to think of it.

This is just the tip of the iceberg.

Guilty secrets! Confession time.

Ah, that's what little brothers are for!

I once burnt our brand new bathroom suite (just the sink), by accident. I tried to cover it with toothpase, since it was white, but Mum found out. I blamed it on my sister, who got grounded for a month.

Still here sweetie.

My other half was even more ruthless. He blamed his best mates for so many things, that they wondered why his mother wouldn't let them into the house any longer.

He never told them.

Bad, Huh?

NICE excuse. I've smoked for years, so am speaking from position of authority. Really wish I'd never started. Will say no more on the subject though. It's boring being ordered about.

I think we've found the new Viv.

Hey geeky!

First you tell me to speak to Viv. I ask who she is, no reply!

Now I'm the 'new Viv', and I still don't know who the hell she is!

Have a feeling you aren't paying me a compliment.?.

We blame the dog - it's a tradition, even when she plainly couldn't have had anything to do with it (as far as I know she can't climb up to the top cupboards and drink cherry brandy, for instance).

She mostly gets blamed for smells and dirty marks, but the fact that I forgot to pay a bill is all her fault too - always wagging her tail and making me smile so I forget the nasty things...

UM is a nice place

    • https://youtu.be/A_Cycjg5_9A?si=NiLTFeiTNWBExFoR   As barmy as Sam Ryder has now gone, as shown in this video. I'd still rather it than that bland Olly Alexander record.
    • I like Scott, and I listen to Rylan's show every week... they do sound great together on Eurovision etc but.. as for a daily show together, I don't think it would work. Rylan would probably have to reign it in a bit which would lose his appeal, otherwise it may become too chaotic, in my opinion. That Saturday slot is perfect for Rylan, his rapport with Sally Traffic and Lottie is great. I suppose it comes down to cost as well and if he would want a daily show?   Radio 2 are clearly happy with Scott's show, and considering he's just won Best Entertainment Show at the ARIA's, I can't see them changing much.
    • A win for Scott which is fantastic after the last few years he's been through!
    • Am I outnumbered for not wanting to work in radio? It feels like there's a lot of geeks that want a job in the industry here.
    • Thought Sam and Danni were robbed of an award.
    • OJ Borg is in for Trevor Nelson on the Rhythm Nation tonight (with Phill Williams on overnight). He's also in for Michael Ball for the next two Sundays (12th and 19th May). Ros Atkins (BBC's Analysis editior) is in for Jeremy Vine on Thursday. Another new name to Radio 2 is Oliver Hides from BBC Radio Wales. He sat in for Owain Wynn Evans yesterday and he's in again this Thursday (9th May) and Bank Holiday Monday (27th) Spoony in for Scott Mills from Tuesday 28th till Friday 31st May.
    • Thought they would make it easier to get to this event. There's been no communication from the council or organisers about travel, even though there's talk of train strikes. Smaller councils have done a better job.
    • They do sound good together, but I'm not sure Rylan will want the extra commitments.
    • I have accepted Chris is unlikely to join Scott's show, and that Chappers has moved on, but I still think he could do with a co-host. The most logical solution, I think, is Rylan. He appears more often on his show than not, and they are great together. Radio 2 could lose Rylan's Saturday show and extend his reach by appearing during the week. I think they'd be great!
    • Tattoo took a while to grow on me. I couldn't see the fuss until weeks after. We have a split household here where the war on Gaza is overshadowing an enjoyment. I'm hoping for a protest of some sort.
    • I've heard that the staging is very impressive.  That and him being "known" might prevent an embarrassing result.  I'm a terrible judge of Eurovision though as Tattoo is still so very meh to me.
    • Feels like after the success of Sam Ryder we are going back to our old ways. Olly Alexander's song is pretty weak. Anyone fancy our chances this year?
    • The more time goes on the more you think if they'd actually put some thought into it it should've been Vick & Katie from the start. A proven pairing and Katie ended up on the show anyway - whereas Katie's even mentioned she was only asked to join after the Jamie announcement And even by Going Home standards on time off, it's quite funny that a few months in we still haven't had a full week of the supposed line-up - and that's with a 4-day week.
