Hello! I'm from Indiana, in the US. Got into the show in I think 2011, when it was on Sirius XM and I had a free trial because I'd bought a new car. I heard it one day randomly whilst surfing through channels, and fell in love. Had to listen every day after that, even after my free 3 month trial ended. The rest is beautiful history. ♡

    • I think Ellie has definitely proven to be been a great fit.  The story of her finding a flat and Roger the cat was a real ice breaker for the feel of the show as a whole I think.  Add to that Scott giving Ellie his ticket to the Brits and the stories that came from it, I really think she adds value. Not only is the rapport between her and Scott already brilliant, but she also comes across as a funny, down to earth presenter in her own right.  I think she's fab and will only continue to get better as the show progresses. I would initially have agreed with the thought that she could be a co-presenter, and I suppose her prominence in the show is such that she could be seen as that, seemlessly.  However, for me the show is a bit too guest-heavy for a co-presenter.  That's probably just the nature of having such a high-profile show, I think it might feel like too many voices to try to get a fairly short (and sincere) interview in with a huge star. Back in the days of R1 when they could play fun games with the guests then yes, but I get the impression that Scott needs to go for serious and genuine with most of the ones he has had so far. I mostly prefer the bits of radio without guests - that goes for all radio shows, not just Scott's.  The 6.30-8am where it's just Scott, Ellie, and Tina, are my favourite bits of the show for sure.  Which is a long winded way of me saying that Ellie was a great choice 😄
    • @Opalmoon I couldn't agree with you more. Scott and Chris made genuine magic happen on the radio and I'm starting to think that nothing will ever equal that era.  I often listen back to the old podcasts, and I think you've hit the nail on the head when you say they were effortlessly funny together.  They could make the most simple of things laugh-out-loud funny, and it must have been because they were real friends who just used to make each other laugh, which in turn made brilliant radio.   They have both gone on to do such big things apart, probably more than if they had carried on together at Radio 1, and I'm really pleased for them both.  I don't think you're stuck in the mud (if you are then I am too) - a Scott and Chris podcast would be a dream come true. I'm not sure it could even be a thing while they are both working at different stations, but I hope they can make it work one day.  With Beccy producing, that would be the icing on the cake!   I would love for Scott to be a guest on Chris & Tom Kerridge's podcast, if nothing else.   Who knows, maybe one day Chris will find himself back at the BBC on 5Live and we'd have more chance of having them back working together then.

    • Hello I’m new posting here but regularly come on to listen to the archives.    Anyone else still missing the Scott & Chris era? I loved them with Becky too, but there was just something magic about the two of them together—the sarcasm, the ridiculous games (especially The Who Game) and just how effortlessly funny they were.   I know they’re both happy doing their own thing now, but I can’t help feeling like there’s a massive gap in the podcast market for them two. Someone actually asked Chris on his Insta live the other day if he and Scott could work together again, and he said he’d love to and that it’s something they do want to do—which got me thinking… how would that even work with them both being on competing radio stations?   Not gonna lie, I might just be stuck in the mud, but I’d absolutely love a regular Scott & Chris podcast again. Maybe it’s wishful thinking, but I feel like it has to happen at some point! Would you listen if they brought it back?
    • Rene LaVice is in for Charlie Tee on Saturday 5th April.
