This interview with Justin is hilarious.

Surprised at the poor bitrate on the streaming... Surely it should be getting better year by year, not worse.

Well, live audio from stages is technically better.

I suppose the problem is bandwidth from the venue to BBC servers.

OMG That interview with Bieber was excruciating.

Pretty funny though. I felt a little bad laughing , as Justin obviously wasn't prepared for the power of Comedy Dave's immense interviewing techniques.

Dizzeeee Rascaaallll!

He makes me laugh so much. It was the Big Weekend last year that made me love him.

Radio 1 should ignore all fair policy rules and give all of UM tickets for the Big Weekend next year, just for being so great. Nobody else would have to know..!

You'll get Dave Green on your back though. Or whatever his name was. Is it actually Professor Green do you think? Is his first name Dave?

Favorite quote so far....

Some guy being interviewed on BBC Three calling all the welsh Sheep Shaggers and then telling Edith her clothes will look good on the floor of portaloo!

HA.

I'm guessing if there were sound problems like they said, her record company probably refused for the whole set to be shown - It's says they can do that in the FAQ on RWB1 site.

    • I like Scott, and I listen to Rylan's show every week... they do sound great together on Eurovision etc but.. as for a daily show together, I don't think it would work. Rylan would probably have to reign it in a bit which would lose his appeal, otherwise it may become too chaotic, in my opinion. That Saturday slot is perfect for Rylan, his rapport with Sally Traffic and Lottie is great. I suppose it comes down to cost as well and if he would want a daily show?   Radio 2 are clearly happy with Scott's show, and considering he's just won Best Entertainment Show at the ARIA's, I can't see them changing much.
    • But a win for Scott which is fantastic!
    • Overall awards reflect a lot of momentum in commercial radio. A side note but didn't they once stream this?
    • Am I outnumbered for not wanting to work in radio? It feels like there's a lot of geeks that want a job in the industry here.
    • Thought Sam and Danni were robbed of an award.
    • OJ Borg is in for Trevor Nelson on the Rhythm Nation tonight (with Phill Williams on overnight). He's also in for Michael Ball for the next two Sundays (12th and 19th May). Ros Atkins (BBC's Analysis editior) is in for Jeremy Vine on Thursday. Another new name to Radio 2 is Oliver Hides from BBC Radio Wales. He sat in for Owain Wynn Evans yesterday and he's in again this Thursday (9th May) and Bank Holiday Monday (27th) Spoony in for Scott Mills from Tuesday 28th till Friday 31st May.
    • Thought they would make it easier to get to this event. There's been no communication from the council or organisers about travel, even though there's talk of train strikes. Smaller councils have done a better job.
    • They do sound good together, but I'm not sure Rylan will want the extra commitments.
    • I have accepted Chris is unlikely to join Scott's show, and that Chappers has moved on, but I still think he could do with a co-host. The most logical solution, I think, is Rylan. He appears more often on his show than not, and they are great together. Radio 2 could lose Rylan's Saturday show and extend his reach by appearing during the week. I think they'd be great!
    • Tattoo took a while to grow on me. I couldn't see the fuss until weeks after. We have a split household here where the war on Gaza is overshadowing an enjoyment. I'm hoping for a protest of some sort.
    • I've heard that the staging is very impressive.  That and him being "known" might prevent an embarrassing result.  I'm a terrible judge of Eurovision though as Tattoo is still so very meh to me.
    • Feels like after the success of Sam Ryder we are going back to our old ways. Olly Alexander's song is pretty weak. Anyone fancy our chances this year?
    • The more time goes on the more you think if they'd actually put some thought into it it should've been Vick & Katie from the start. A proven pairing and Katie ended up on the show anyway - whereas Katie's even mentioned she was only asked to join after the Jamie announcement And even by Going Home standards on time off, it's quite funny that a few months in we still haven't had a full week of the supposed line-up - and that's with a 4-day week.
    • I heard something about what is your favourite wood? Wtf 😂
    • Was the same vibe on the Easter Monday show they did too. Just random questions and the like…. Katie is definitely the glue around making the show listenable.
