There was a thread on another forum "My Mom added me on Facebook and I don't know what to do". The original poster was 24 and felt he couldn't refuse and that he had to hide all his pictures of himself smoking or trashed .

Just put her on limited profile, innit.

We don't even get Paul Potts on Upstaged.

I didn't understand the result last night. I thought he was saying goodbye to the pole dancers, but clearly they remain another day.

Imagine a Hollywood movie about any of those contents (a la Paul Potts).

I think Scott going to Rihanna has cursed his show. It just rains and rains, so no mass snog.

I don't want it to rain, I wanna see more people interacting with the show.

Are there any indicators of how it's doing? I don't want it to be a flop, mainly because Scott hosts it :D

Uh oh, are we gonna be hearing the pole dancers all over the show today now.

I hope Alphabeat got their laptop back. Maybe Geany the mother detective could find it for them.

Andy Parfitt showing where his priorities lies. BBC Switch getting people to tune into BBC Two instead of R1.

Sorry I've been quiet. Can't get into a show when I turn up late. Have to check the rest of the forum at the same time. Anyway, see you all tomorrow.

Edit: Pahaha, David Platt is listening to the Foals in a Foals t-shirt tonight. Now his girlfriend won't go.

Hey

Can someone tell me the truth about Laura. One minute she is putting her boyfriend on the spot for marriage, and then nothing. I hate to pry into someone's person business but if you go on radio to propose, the least you can do is give us an answer on what happened.

Has he totally flipped out about being cornered and told her it's me or the show or is there some other explanation while Mills has not mentioned it since Feb 29th and she has suddenly left?

I WANT THE TRUTH !!!!

please

    • https://youtu.be/A_Cycjg5_9A?si=NiLTFeiTNWBExFoR   As barmy as Sam Ryder has now gone, as shown in this video. I'd still rather it than that bland Olly Alexander record.
    • I like Scott, and I listen to Rylan's show every week... they do sound great together on Eurovision etc but.. as for a daily show together, I don't think it would work. Rylan would probably have to reign it in a bit which would lose his appeal, otherwise it may become too chaotic, in my opinion. That Saturday slot is perfect for Rylan, his rapport with Sally Traffic and Lottie is great. I suppose it comes down to cost as well and if he would want a daily show?   Radio 2 are clearly happy with Scott's show, and considering he's just won Best Entertainment Show at the ARIA's, I can't see them changing much.
    • A win for Scott which is fantastic after the last few years he's been through!
    • Am I outnumbered for not wanting to work in radio? It feels like there's a lot of geeks that want a job in the industry here.
    • Thought Sam and Danni were robbed of an award.
    • OJ Borg is in for Trevor Nelson on the Rhythm Nation tonight (with Phill Williams on overnight). He's also in for Michael Ball for the next two Sundays (12th and 19th May). Ros Atkins (BBC's Analysis editior) is in for Jeremy Vine on Thursday. Another new name to Radio 2 is Oliver Hides from BBC Radio Wales. He sat in for Owain Wynn Evans yesterday and he's in again this Thursday (9th May) and Bank Holiday Monday (27th) Spoony in for Scott Mills from Tuesday 28th till Friday 31st May.
    • Thought they would make it easier to get to this event. There's been no communication from the council or organisers about travel, even though there's talk of train strikes. Smaller councils have done a better job.
    • They do sound good together, but I'm not sure Rylan will want the extra commitments.
    • I have accepted Chris is unlikely to join Scott's show, and that Chappers has moved on, but I still think he could do with a co-host. The most logical solution, I think, is Rylan. He appears more often on his show than not, and they are great together. Radio 2 could lose Rylan's Saturday show and extend his reach by appearing during the week. I think they'd be great!
    • Tattoo took a while to grow on me. I couldn't see the fuss until weeks after. We have a split household here where the war on Gaza is overshadowing an enjoyment. I'm hoping for a protest of some sort.
    • I've heard that the staging is very impressive.  That and him being "known" might prevent an embarrassing result.  I'm a terrible judge of Eurovision though as Tattoo is still so very meh to me.
    • Feels like after the success of Sam Ryder we are going back to our old ways. Olly Alexander's song is pretty weak. Anyone fancy our chances this year?
    • The more time goes on the more you think if they'd actually put some thought into it it should've been Vick & Katie from the start. A proven pairing and Katie ended up on the show anyway - whereas Katie's even mentioned she was only asked to join after the Jamie announcement And even by Going Home standards on time off, it's quite funny that a few months in we still haven't had a full week of the supposed line-up - and that's with a 4-day week.
