I saw a documentary about the war at the weekend. Good old Winston Churchill. But throughout it I was thining "where's Tony Blair". Goddamnit.

We're almost half way through the show, there's light at the end of the tunnel :D

Do Radio 1 really care about six weeks of summer any more? I heard Chappers and Dave are in for Coxy this weekend...

Say goodbye Mr Fish, he's waving!

Ooh speaking of which I had much enjoyment watching Francis Wilson all weekend on Sky News every fifteen minutes explaining about the floods with his weather map.

If he can't be arsed with the weather, he really can't be arsed explaining the floods.

Warsaw's okay, the rest of Poland is sh*te.

I didn't realise it was in Poland. I presumed it was somewhere in the UK... I'm so confused this morning.

Is a 'monkey' similar to Scott's ham roast?

George seems to be going quite posh at the moment. Where's her normal voice?

I'm here, but my parents are being complete w*nkers so i doubt i will be here for long. Apparently we are getting flooded this week cos the river through Newbury is like a spur of the Thames - and that is supposed to burst in Oxford and Outskirts of Reading..

One question: Where is our international aid coming from?

Just a thought...

Maybe beings Nihal is on today, we could announce who is sitting in for Scott's show tomorrow. Good enough announcement I say.

Answer once again Sara Cox.

Ah wait, the listings magazine will get us again.

Maybe the announcement can be that they couldn't be arsed this year, looking at the webcam this morning.

Hmm, my mum wants to turf me off the pooter. :(

Tell her you're interacting with the foreign exchange student who is giving you lectures in algebra and criminal psychology.

Come to think of it, my parents probably want me moved out within the next 3 hours... F*CKING ARSEHOLES!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand i have no credit so i can't vent my anger at people by text *cries*

Oh great one Scott, promoting healthy eating in the morning. Now I feel like getting a packet of crisps and unhealthy drink. I've been considering something healthy for breakfast for the last hour.

Salt and vinegar and coke is quite nice. But not quite together like that...

    • https://youtu.be/A_Cycjg5_9A?si=NiLTFeiTNWBExFoR   As barmy as Sam Ryder has now gone, as shown in this video. I'd still rather it than that bland Olly Alexander record.
    • I like Scott, and I listen to Rylan's show every week... they do sound great together on Eurovision etc but.. as for a daily show together, I don't think it would work. Rylan would probably have to reign it in a bit which would lose his appeal, otherwise it may become too chaotic, in my opinion. That Saturday slot is perfect for Rylan, his rapport with Sally Traffic and Lottie is great. I suppose it comes down to cost as well and if he would want a daily show?   Radio 2 are clearly happy with Scott's show, and considering he's just won Best Entertainment Show at the ARIA's, I can't see them changing much.
    • A win for Scott which is fantastic after the last few years he's been through!
    • Am I outnumbered for not wanting to work in radio? It feels like there's a lot of geeks that want a job in the industry here.
    • Thought Sam and Danni were robbed of an award.
    • OJ Borg is in for Trevor Nelson on the Rhythm Nation tonight (with Phill Williams on overnight). He's also in for Michael Ball for the next two Sundays (12th and 19th May). Ros Atkins (BBC's Analysis editior) is in for Jeremy Vine on Thursday. Another new name to Radio 2 is Oliver Hides from BBC Radio Wales. He sat in for Owain Wynn Evans yesterday and he's in again this Thursday (9th May) and Bank Holiday Monday (27th) Spoony in for Scott Mills from Tuesday 28th till Friday 31st May.
    • Thought they would make it easier to get to this event. There's been no communication from the council or organisers about travel, even though there's talk of train strikes. Smaller councils have done a better job.
    • They do sound good together, but I'm not sure Rylan will want the extra commitments.
    • I have accepted Chris is unlikely to join Scott's show, and that Chappers has moved on, but I still think he could do with a co-host. The most logical solution, I think, is Rylan. He appears more often on his show than not, and they are great together. Radio 2 could lose Rylan's Saturday show and extend his reach by appearing during the week. I think they'd be great!
    • Tattoo took a while to grow on me. I couldn't see the fuss until weeks after. We have a split household here where the war on Gaza is overshadowing an enjoyment. I'm hoping for a protest of some sort.
    • I've heard that the staging is very impressive.  That and him being "known" might prevent an embarrassing result.  I'm a terrible judge of Eurovision though as Tattoo is still so very meh to me.
    • Feels like after the success of Sam Ryder we are going back to our old ways. Olly Alexander's song is pretty weak. Anyone fancy our chances this year?
    • The more time goes on the more you think if they'd actually put some thought into it it should've been Vick & Katie from the start. A proven pairing and Katie ended up on the show anyway - whereas Katie's even mentioned she was only asked to join after the Jamie announcement And even by Going Home standards on time off, it's quite funny that a few months in we still haven't had a full week of the supposed line-up - and that's with a 4-day week.
