Moyles visits Radio Norfolk

I heard a bit of the show from Norwich but missed Jono's mentions because I had to get up and go places. I'll listen to the clips a bit later. I did kind of figure that Jono would be there as it was in his part of the world for once.

As for the argument with CM.net, it's just a few people who are bitter for reasons of their own who probably ought to move on. Otherwise it is mostly harmless banter which is fine between the two sites.

I have briefly been to UM a couple of times - I thought it was like the Stepford Wives, too nice to be true. Made me shudder. And the reason we argue with them and bitch about them all the time is because they think we mean it, take it seriously, get all upset and indignant and bite back - and its fun.

I think that is a backhanded compliment folks! We are all just too nice to each other!!!!!

He seems to forget that the person he had a problem with, wasn't me. He only had a problem with me when I gave him and Callum a week's ban to prove I had no special treatment for friends, and because neither parties wouldn't stop arguing like kids. From that point on he took it out on me, and any one who was going to send messages to people telling them to curl up and die wasn't welcome.

Just listened back to his show on Radio Norfolk. It seems so bizarre to hear him talking about towns near me, and the beaches I go to. So odd, but he did very well!

lol, I missed that, did he say that on the radio?

No, that's on his personal forum. I'm sure Aled lurks, as he wouldn't know I am otherwise!

It's a shame really. Radio Norfolk has all this futurisic state of the art designed studios, but no one visits them. It was the first time the studio had attracted such a crowd!

Apart from the rough woman that kept saying she wanted to get her tits out, no. She looked at least 35, and stunk of smoke (hi boys!) - anyway, I think she realised she was the only one finding the idea appealing and walked off.

    • https://youtu.be/A_Cycjg5_9A?si=NiLTFeiTNWBExFoR   As barmy as Sam Ryder has now gone, as shown in this video. I'd still rather it than that bland Olly Alexander record.
    • I like Scott, and I listen to Rylan's show every week... they do sound great together on Eurovision etc but.. as for a daily show together, I don't think it would work. Rylan would probably have to reign it in a bit which would lose his appeal, otherwise it may become too chaotic, in my opinion. That Saturday slot is perfect for Rylan, his rapport with Sally Traffic and Lottie is great. I suppose it comes down to cost as well and if he would want a daily show?   Radio 2 are clearly happy with Scott's show, and considering he's just won Best Entertainment Show at the ARIA's, I can't see them changing much.
    • A win for Scott which is fantastic after the last few years he's been through!
    • Am I outnumbered for not wanting to work in radio? It feels like there's a lot of geeks that want a job in the industry here.
    • Thought Sam and Danni were robbed of an award.
    • OJ Borg is in for Trevor Nelson on the Rhythm Nation tonight (with Phill Williams on overnight). He's also in for Michael Ball for the next two Sundays (12th and 19th May). Ros Atkins (BBC's Analysis editior) is in for Jeremy Vine on Thursday. Another new name to Radio 2 is Oliver Hides from BBC Radio Wales. He sat in for Owain Wynn Evans yesterday and he's in again this Thursday (9th May) and Bank Holiday Monday (27th) Spoony in for Scott Mills from Tuesday 28th till Friday 31st May.
    • Thought they would make it easier to get to this event. There's been no communication from the council or organisers about travel, even though there's talk of train strikes. Smaller councils have done a better job.
    • They do sound good together, but I'm not sure Rylan will want the extra commitments.
    • I have accepted Chris is unlikely to join Scott's show, and that Chappers has moved on, but I still think he could do with a co-host. The most logical solution, I think, is Rylan. He appears more often on his show than not, and they are great together. Radio 2 could lose Rylan's Saturday show and extend his reach by appearing during the week. I think they'd be great!
    • Tattoo took a while to grow on me. I couldn't see the fuss until weeks after. We have a split household here where the war on Gaza is overshadowing an enjoyment. I'm hoping for a protest of some sort.
    • I've heard that the staging is very impressive.  That and him being "known" might prevent an embarrassing result.  I'm a terrible judge of Eurovision though as Tattoo is still so very meh to me.
    • Feels like after the success of Sam Ryder we are going back to our old ways. Olly Alexander's song is pretty weak. Anyone fancy our chances this year?
    • The more time goes on the more you think if they'd actually put some thought into it it should've been Vick & Katie from the start. A proven pairing and Katie ended up on the show anyway - whereas Katie's even mentioned she was only asked to join after the Jamie announcement And even by Going Home standards on time off, it's quite funny that a few months in we still haven't had a full week of the supposed line-up - and that's with a 4-day week.
