BBC banning repeats

BBC chairman Michael Grade has pledged to make BBC One and BBC Two "repeat-free zones" within a decade.

Grade said it was "not good enough" that around 10% of programmes currently broadcast in primetime on the flagship channels are re-runs.

What do you think?

They should put all the new programming on BBC One and BBC Two, and repeat it on BBC Three.

BBC Four could be used for a lot more, other than 'arts'.

Saying that, I'm sure you're all looking forward to ITV4 in November

ITV4 is due to be a 'mens channel'. I think it's safe to say it'll be ITV phasing out Men and Motors by calling it ITV4. They did to Granada Plus, it closed and became ITV3.

I think there's going to be an ITV kids channel during the day.

Call me a boring old fart, but I quite like the art programmes on BBC4 :P

Regards the repeats situation, they shouldn't be showing repeats in primetime anyway. Why has it taken them this long to realize? They're hardly an under-funded corporation

Five rules. I do like 2dtv when it's on though.

2dtv: Michael Owen scores and shoots himself out of a cannon to celebrate. In mid air he meets another player, and asks him "did you score too mate". To which he replies "No, I just got kicked by Roy Keane".

on the grid.
