Scott answered some questions for The Mills Pages on Radio 1's website.

Favourite places in the world?

London, Ibiza, Miami, New York.

What did you want to be when you were a kid?

A Radio 1 DJ, until I told my careers advisor at school- he wet himself laughing - and when I got a rejection letter I got from Radio 1 in 1993 telling me to 'go away' and stop sending tapes or I'd end up on the pest pile.

How do you spend your nights off?

Nights off? Don't have those … up at 2am. When I do - which is Saturday, I find it's rude to be in before 6am.

What's the biggest fallacy about yourself?

That I'm "too nice - probably never even had a hangover" - Sky Magazine - May'99.

What do you think is your greatest achievement?

Anchoring Love Parade 2000. That was the most amazing day. So looking forward to this year, it's going to be even better. The first time presenting Top of the Pops was also fantastic.

If it wasn't for... those photos I have of the controller I wouldn't be working at Radio 1.

In the movie of your life who'd play you?

Josh Hartnett. Obviously, we have similar sultry, sexy, good looks. Not.

What or Who has inspired you musically?

Kurt Cobain.

What's your favourite club/venue?

Fabric, London

What's the best gig you've ever been to?

Gatecrasher Summer Sound System. Madonna in London would have been if I could get a ticket.

Which type of music do you absolutely hate to listen to?

Dull R & B, crap low rent pop, Ricky Martin and Euro-Trance.

What would you most like to be remembered for?

My great hair.

Happiness is...

Sunset at Mambo, Ibiza.

Have you ever been ashamed of you behaviour? What happened?

Yes. It involved me being very sick while drunk, a takeaway curry in a bag, and

a friend who was too drunk to know what they were really eating when they got

home. I never told them.

If you could get away with murder who would you kill?

Murder? I don' think MURDER anyone. Oh alright then, Anthea Turner. And I'd shoot Les Dennis in the leg - don't want to kill him. Just hurt him a bit. And if there's any bullets left - Jenny McCarthy.

In one word how would your best friend describe you?

Elusive.

On a scale of 1 - 10, how much do you care what other people think of you?

9 and a half. But even that's less than a year ago. I'm caring less every day.

When did you first fall in love?

At 14. At a youth club. We fell in love to the sounds of Jason Donovan! How romantic.

What's an instant turn-off for you?

People who are too forward (!) and people who are arrogant.

What are you attracted to the most?

Normality. People who like me because I'm ME, and not for what I do. I try and

stay away from them. Not easy in this industry!!

How far have you gone to get the attention of a person you've found

attractive?

I remember developing stalker like tendencies at one stage. Waiting outside

their house and pretending to "just be passing by" when they came out. Which started to become an unlikely coincidence after the first three or four times.

What's the worst thing about you as a boyfriend/girlfriend?

Grumpy and sensitive when tired - to the point where you can say NOTHING right - I'll just shoot you down in flames. And I make funny noises in the night.

Down the pub or down a club?

A Club

Big Brother or Survivor?

I have no interest in Survivor, but I am hooked on Big Brother. Total voyeurism!

Party Animal or Boring Git?

Both, depending on how many hours sleep I've had.

Peral Harbour or Pulp Fiction?

I would rather stick needles in my eyes than watch 'Pearl Harbour'. A total

waste of three hours of my precious time which I could have used for sleeping. I

did after the first 30 minutes anyway.

CK or C & A?

You've seen my wardrobe then?? No-has to be CK

Lager, Lager, Lager or G'n'T, ice and a slice

Lager Export - None of that stuff that tastes of wee

What's your best feature?

Eyes. They're very blue. I like them - almost makes up for my crap legs and

funny feet

    • Not sure the obsession from Aled with celebrities. Between him and Danny Beard he's making some odd decisions.
    • Reference to Jordan having Katie’s coat (random), and potentially taking the old show box with him.
    • I'm curious - in what context did Vick and Katie mention Jordan? Was it r.e. Arielle's wedding?
    • Since Easter at the beginning of April, Vick, Katie and Jamie have been on together just 4 times. Which is crazy for a brand new, high profile Radio 1 show. Imagine Jordan being off that regularly on Capital because of ‘other commitments’ - would never happen. Jamie has only presented 6 times in the past month. Katie has presented every single show. Given how she got the job at the last minute I think very likely she would have had other commitments, which she will have cancelled/rearranged, cos being Radio 1 drive time host is a massive gig. Vick, Katie and Jamie - 4 times; Vick and Katie - 10 times; Katie and Jamie - 2 times; Katie and Lauren - 2 times.
    • I see Katie (and Mairead) were out with Jordan tonight. I don’t listen to the show any longer, I am shocked they are allowed to mention Jordan.
    • At least I do not ask stupid questions…😂
    • I suggest you follow the other DJs too if so, you will learn the hardest working will go further 🤣
    • A simple check on his instagram would answer all your questions , he’s on tour with his wife and the team behind his podcast. I suggest anyone to follow the radio presenters, you will learn a lot about their other jobs and work commitments.
    • Where is Jamie? It felt like he was settling in when Vick wasn’t on but he’s not been on since last Tuesday now. They’ve not even mentioned him, in fact they’ve mentioned Jordan more than they’ve mentioned him in the last two days.
    • Scott's show is on the road next week, live from Malmö in Sweden on Wednesday and Friday, ahead of Eurovision. As he's doing the semi final coverage on the TV on Tuesday and Thursday alongside Rylan, Gary Davies sits in for him on those days.
    • I don't feel there's so much overlap between M&M and Scott's shows. M&M is of a similar calibre to Scott & Chris on R1, with genuine laugh out loud moments and usually a show packed full of real interesting content. Scott's R2 show is IMO a shadow of the stuff he did on R1 (not his fault, he's doing exactly what station management want), with music and content to appeal to a much older audience.
    • To be fair, Scott & Chris would've still been fine on Radio 1. It was mentioned at the time that Scott's move was very much on Radio 2's part rather than Radio 1 wanting to move them on. That's the one problem that Radio 2 has, trying to appeal to such a wide demographic.. it's the perfect listen for many, but equally a turn off for many others. I think they have the balance fairly right.
    • I agree Scott has always been a good standalone presenter, but always better when with someone. When chappers left the radio one show it felt a different show and Chris joining was what it needed and brought new life. for the format of the radio 2 show Scott’s show fits well with the station but again, there’s the huge gap between radio1 and 2 As been said already old radio2 listeners feel it now feels too young with latest changes, yet old radio1 listeners still feel radio 2 feels too old. The inbetween stage demographic of too old for radio 1 but too young for radio 2 is still not catered for radio 2 was left to grow old with its audience for too long and to change things up now feels to try and change a brand image the right thing to do is leave it as it is and cater for that 1.5 demographic which I’m sure the new proposed 00s and 10s station will do if approved. Problem is it’s so overdue that by the time it gets off the ground these listeners are already likely to be lost and the changing image of radio2 likely to lose what it stands for as a brand with the “it’s too young now “ moving to boom and the “ it still sounds old “ crowd not able to move with their favourite presenters like Scott so finding themself on capital a radio 1.5 would have been perfect for Scott and Chris, seems unlikely but this is why I think who branding of bbc radio needs a rethink if these new stations get off ground
    • Bank Holiday Monday Schedule 6am-10am: Arielle Free in for Greg 10am-2pm: Dean & Vicky (No Rickie, Melvin & Charlie) 2pm-6pm: Vick & Jamie (No Katie) 6pm onwards: As normal.
