In a dramatic move Bella from Give Autism A Chance has enlisted the help of @scott_mills and @kate_nash to make #billyscafe a rip-roaring success.

You can go to the actual cafe on Sunday, 30th January 2011 and meet Scott (what more could you ask for) who will be helping @chanceforautism

Go to www.battlefront.co.uk/bella

It's all being filmed for T4, so you could wind up being seen on actual TV.

The Mills will not be cooking, or serving, or doing a dance on the tables, but will be helping to be in charge of the Project, in order to ensure it's phenomenal sucess !!

The pop-up cafe will be staffed by autistic people, which is being filmed for the Battlefront TV show on T4.

The cafe, masterminded by Bella Tommey as part of her Give Autism a Chance campaign, will see a team of young autistic adults being given the opportunity to show they too can do a cracking job in the workplace.

With the help of superstar chef, Gizzi Erskine – host of Channel 4’s Cook Yourself Thin- the cafe staff are aiming to cook and serve nosh to hungry visitors and VIP guests all afternoon on Sunday (30th of January).

As a supporter of Bella’s Battlefront campaign, Radio 1 DJ, Scott Mills, has come on-board as her celebrity mentor – which means he’ll be doing all he can this week to help her pull off her ambitious pop-up cafe project and make it a humungous success. .

I hope it's a success too.... I am surprised Scott is mentoring a cafe... considering he probably has a limited knowledge of cafes... I mean, beyond falling off seats in them, or eating....

I do find it a bit puzzling. He's certainly not an obvious choice, is he.

Yeh, guess so. My first choice would have been someone more business like, like Sir Alan Sugar, or someone similar.

But, yeh, a lot of people will show up just to look at Scott, I guess.

ps: sorry you're still stuck in that stupid hospital, btw... You must be absolutely desperate to sprog.

What café?

Read above and ye shall find the answers you seek.

I'm surprised Viv isn't moaning that this means yet more time off from Radio1 duties really.

I have to say though it is getting slightly annoying in that first sentence where everything is expressed in Twitter terms (including a username that doesn't seem to exist when I search for it, *FAIL*), what's wrong with just calling them Scott Mills and (the lovely) Kate Nash?

Professional eater of puppy dogs, baby heads and killer of grannies...

    • Wednesday, surely? But this is another mess, as this weeks Summer press release said it’ll be Sam & Danni no Jamie from the 28th - so it’s actually a whole week earlier!
    • Jamie Laing’s last show before his summer break will be on Wednesday 16th July.
    • I worked out once Scott spent 3 months of a year off his own slot in the Moyles days and more like 4 in Grimmys days, six weeks of his own holiday and projects, six covering Grimmy plus some ad hoc days
    • Back on topic, I think there's quite a few of the current Radio 1 presenters who would be able to adapt to Radio 2's style in the future. It's more of question of how many of them will actually end up there. With much of R2's line up changed over the past couple of years, it's quite possible we won't see much movement there, and R2 management might even decide to look elsewhere to bring in new presenters in future.
    • With OJ covering on bank holidays. She is the best person for the job however... they're going to end up with a situation like Scott covering R1 breakfast back in the day, where she spends quite a bit of time off her own slot covering Breakfast, plus her own holiday and other commitments. She's been filming for something recently which has meant she's been off several days a week since May. She was off last week, on breakfast this week, OJ is on Mon/Tues next week, then She's off the following two weeks.
    • Looking back at this I would say now that Sara is the main cover - I think she has been reestablished as it now
    • Purley on the R1 Dance station.. Someone on DS said don't expect to see any changes to the schedule on the new stations however if they are taking on Capital Dance with this, which they clearly are, which has live presenters 7am - 10pm except for the 11am mix then they'll surely have to have a proper scheduled set of shows. At the moment Arielle is the only "live" per say show and only "live" a few days a week with earlier shows being repeated Thursday Friday and Saturday. Connor and Charlie are clearly pre records but was this only for the time it was online only and they have already got a schedule ready to go on day 1? also of note is that Charlie is taking over a podcast as well as starting a new project with podcasting which makes me wonder if she is about to step back from Dance Anthems all together to concentrate on those and Connor takes over? So you could have Arielle doing 9-12 weekdays live then someone else 12-3 and Connor live 3-6 on R1D and doing Dance Anthems on a Saturday.
    • As none of the Going Home Team aren't currently on the air, that's a bit if an issue. Considering most of the Dance DJs will be out there, I'm surprised none of them are being utilised to host the 1-4 slot that weekend.
    • Going Home presenters have done the last few years ?
    • Nat and Vicky are being sent to Ibiza this year. They’ll be live on Friday 1st August from 1-4pm.
    • Since Radio 1 Dance and Anthems have been allowed to broadcast on DAB, do we think they’ll be a proper schedule of shows like on Radio 1 Dance with the morning show and Dance Anthems at drive time. Maybe Lauren Redfern, Tyler Selby, Chrissy Cameron or Matt Hallsworth will be scheduled on named shows like Hits Radio 00s or Capital Anthems rather than the generic ‘Radio 1 Anthems’ show. Obviously it would probably cost more to produce actual shows on the station however.
    • There's been a lot of positive reaction to the Mylo and Rosie news so am interested now to hear what their shows are like. And yep wouldn't be surprised if they stay on beyond July as cover ever so often. And that Friday-Sunday news was hidden in the small print a little. It presumably means we lose Party Anthems all that month as that is what has happened this year with Big Weekend, Glasto for example. I certainly I hope it isn't Party Anthems being quietly axed full stop - it and Future Pop are 2 real hidden gems on Radio 1.
    • I’m pleased for Mylo and Rosie, they were highly thought of in our local area and definitely worthy of that slot
    • I’m thinking the same redding and Leeds etc
    • -Considering how little Jamie has appeared since Vick went off on maternity, it probably would've been more sensible to have Sam & Danni taking over from that point and have him return with Katie. - Mylo and Rosie are apparently very good and one of the more popular local presenters who lost their slot when Hits went fully national. I gather they are very popular in Yorkshire. I can see them definitely see them popping up again beyond this stint. -Life Hacks cover is yet another good opportunity for some new voices (I know Yinka has popped up in the past). I have enjoyed Pete Allison covering though. I'm assuming most of August's Friday to Sunday 1-4pm will be made up of festival coverage.
