Coldplay top the singles chart for the first time with Viva La Vida, the title track from their new album.

I so wish Neyo had beaten them to it, theres just something about Chris Martin that annoys me

There's something nice about Viva La Vida. It's the only song (other than Violet Hill) I've heard or downloaded from the album so far. On top of that, Radio 1 haven't over played this song...

Instead they chose to over promote their gig. Heh.

I'm with you in so far that Neyo's song rocks, but I happen to think Chris Martin is a bit of a sweetheart, especially at gigs speaking to the crowd. Didn't agree with them walking out of that BBC interview though.

I agree, it is about time Coldplay had a number 1, but personally I'd rather it was Violet Hill as I prefer it to Viva La Vida. Oh well, still makes a refreshing change from the usual sh*te that gets to number 1...
