<b>Alright Treacle? Welcome to another week of Scott Mills reviews...</b>

<b>Morning Banter</b>

Scott and Chappers were sad enough to text each other last night whilst Prime Suspect was on. They even ended up putting a bet on it. Georgina on the otherhand was a bridesmaid yesterday and was out all night. She had just a few minutes sleep rather than hours.

<I>Scott and Chappers work on getting a job secured at Radio 2 by watching Prime Suspect...</I></center>

Remember last week Scott was playing the American Name Game, and he gave Randy Gaylord a call. It turns out after Scott mentioned his website, everyone sent Randy an e-mail and he wasn't very happy. Not such a good idea considering the guy is in to politics and legal business.

Each hour this morning the show were giving away tickets to see artists at the BBC Electric Proms. Basically, they're a five day music festival, but is supposed to involve big bands doing something totally different that you wouldn't find elsewhere.

<b>Flirt Divert</b>

So if you're a new listener to Scott, (and let's face it there are more of them each quarter) you'll need the all important Flirt Divert number for your phone. 07770 756 408 is the number you need and you need to put it into your phones under the name of 'me'. Then you give it out to a minger when you're out and about or at gigs, and should they try to call you they'll end up on Radio 1.

On Flirt Divert this morning, we started with Australlian Jake who was surprised to find a girl who liked the Anchor Man. "Put a cocktail up ya, and go to Sea World" he says. It turns out this is a line from Anchor Man. There was then a heated debate about whether he was Australian, a Kiwi or South African. Back on again was Kinky Bernard calling Barbra. It seems she hasn't given him a call, so she isn't getting the answer to his question. What's the question? There were more messages from grand parents. A grandmother was giving her granddaughter a call as her mobile phone was ringing. Turns out she inapporpriately had <I>that</i> Jo Whiley ringtone.

After the whole Anchor Man discussion, Scott was looking a girl who liked Romy & Michele's High School Reunion. He usually struggles to find one. A girl called in to say she was a fan of the movie, and she was just twenty nine.

<I>Scott: "Brilliant, I love the older woman"</i>

<b>Laura's Diary - Episode Six</b>

Slightly late because Laura's done a Scott Mills and had misplaced her phone.

<I>Scott: "What have you been up to this weekend? Did you see any boys?"

Mary: "Might have done. Did you?

(Team laughs)</I>

The diary entry this morning comes from 31st August 1998. Laura's going to try and almost bribe Ben to make him change his mind. She's going to try and be the best girlfriend ever. She'll even do the thing he's been wanting her to do for a while. She's a woman with a mission, and time is her enemy. He means too much for her to lose. She needs some advice from someone old and wise, she can't talk to her mum as things are different since she was courting in the olden days. She's decided to write to a confident, experienced woman. She's going to write to Melanie C through the Spice Girls fan club. Let's hope she writes back. And finally, a thought for the day, Laura comments wood pigeons are so annoying. Don't you agree?

<I>Mel C - can she solve Laura's problems... Will she tell Laura what she wants, what she really really wants to hear? Or will she tell her 2 are about to become 1?</I></center>

<b>Billie's in the studio... because she wants to!</b>

Billie's book had just arrived at Radio 1 this morning on the same day she's coming in to the studio. Forty-two minutes in to the show, and Laura had got to the bit where she was being signed up to be the new Madonna. She then came across the moment she met Chris Moyles who at the time was 26. Laura thought he was 24 now, so was rather confused. Throughout the speed-reading she red how Billie met the Spice Girls, was becoming jealous of B*Witched and the moment she had a cranberry juice was Cher.

Before long it was 8.30 and Billie had arrived at Radio 1 Headquarters. Scott hadn't seen her since 1998 or 1999 when he had to introduce her at Top of the Pops. Billie recalls talking to Chopper on the phone when he was playing cricket with Chris Evans. She thinks he's good looking, which has probably made his day, or even year. She thinks the studio is all very 80s, and was quite liking it. She obviously spent most of the time discussing her book which is out this week. Scott spoke to her about their favourite Billie pop moments. Then there were the days when she was always on the wine and she went off the rails.

<I>Chappers: "Scott's still on that phase"</I>

Laura used to fancy all of Five apart from Abs, although Billie was an Abs fan. She found it a bit weird that Five were reforming as Four. She recalls loving their songs, even though she went out with one of them. As for Doctor Who, Scott was starting to understand and like sci-fi. She too never used to like sci-fi, but nowadays she does, so Scott stands a chance.

<I>Billie: "They love Radio 1 down there"

Chappers: "...In the tardis"</i>

As for Chris Evans, Scott finds it a bit odd staying mates with ex's. Miss Piper says they get on exceptionally well. And as for Laura, Billie thinks she does look like an author with the fringe and glasses and gave Laura some tips for how to be successful.

<I>Laura: "What about book signings, people are more likely to turn up to yours than mine"

Billie: "Let's hope so"

Laura: "How rude... how very rude... I'm not talking to you anymore"

Billie: "No Laura I didn't mean it like that!"

Laura: "And I thought your book was good..."

(Everyone laughs, Laura storms out)

Chappers: "May be she's gone to the tea machine, let's have a tea"</i>

<I>Billie Piper... she got lost looking for Woman's Hour and ended up in Scott's studio... poor girl...</I></center>

At this point Scott was shouting 'fight fight fight' to much laughter as he decides to play a record.

They soon made up, and many of the texts were coming in saying 'TOTM' which apparently means 'time of the month'. Sooner than Billie expected, time was up, but she was allowed to stay a few extra minutes until her management said she had to go. At this point she seemed so happy she was singing along to the jingles.

Scott spoke to her about Upper Street, as she wasn't clued about them, and she ruled out making a comeback as a pop singer. She says she gets very jealous about others starring in the Doctor Who programme. At the moment she's doing some period dramas (which Scott doesn't get either) and is currently a character called Fanny Price.

<I>Billie: "Ha ha, she said fanny!"

(Team Giggles)</I>

An excellent guest, and an enjoyable interview. Is it sad to say my eyes were watering at some points in this part of the show?

<b>Hoff Mania</b>

The Hoff was back on explaining he had a quiet evening watching Baywatch with Moira Stewart. But she wasn't up for it. I wonder why...? This morning it was another mystery voice competition and the prize today was The Hoff's book.

<I>The Hoff: "Buy my book, buy my book, buy my book..."

Chappers: "The breakfast show shouldn't be an advert for your book"

The Hoff: "Buy my book, buy my book, buy my book..."

Chappers: "Shut up!"</i>

Suzanne in Edinburgh was on, and had brought The Hoff's single from iTunes. Again there was another guess of the lead singer from Razorlight. Darren was on, but Jay had the phone. He had gone off to get some sandwiches, but soon returned. This annoyed Scott. He thought it was Ashton Kutcher. And you know what? He was right.

So with that quick round, what's The Hoff up to for the rest of the day?

<I>Moira looking uneasy after a night with The Hoff</I></center>

<I>The Hoff: I think I'll spend the day hanging around with Annie Mac

Scott: She's quite pretty, but you were saying she reminds you of someone

The Hoff: Yes... Moira Stewart!</I>

Scott's off to learn how to be a hairdresser today, with a whole host of "celebrities". I thought today's show was probably the best of the fortnight, good to have a jiggle up of features, Billie Piper was good and helped the show become more relaxed, and Laura's Diary and Hoff Mania were funny too. Join us tomorrow where I'll try to review the show after a busy night out seeing The Fratellis in Norwich. Goooood morning x
