<I>Scott: "Are you excited... are you ready... can't wait? Good, because it's going to be a good show today - 4 till 7pm"</I>

Afternoon! It's Thursday! And I'm Jono. Your friendly reviewer from Unofficial Mills.<center><h3>Scott Mills - Who needs football?</h3></center><b>Something's happening today...</b>

Chappers was live from the actual stadium where England were playing. If we'd caught Chappers a minute or two earlier the team had ran out to Whitney Houston. Chappers could see Posh, Colleen and Cheryl Tweedy from where he was, and has David Garrido sat next to him.

Scott wants to know who'll be joining the 'I'm listening after 5 o'clock club'. A few were, but it's mostly Scotland. It's a bit like Spoony's early doors club I guess - quite exclusive really as there's very few people listening at that time of the morning...

<I>The masks weren't fooling anyone...</i></center>

Scott used some of Lloyd's facts yesterday, and they seemed really impressed. Lloyd seems to be liking Laura lot! He needs to move in. Lloyd explained what a sub was, and even had an adaptation of The Automatic's Monster. Lloyd was up for answering some questions from the listeners, but wasn't happy that his friends were calling him Mary.

Scott made an emotional plea to his listeners at 5pm, water works and soppy music and everything before finally saying 'ok, fine, it's just me then'. Gay Jason was listening in England, as was most of Scotland. Some keen forum members also e-mailed in today, and got us a nice little mention - we still love him. Many of the listeners came crawling back when they realised the first half was rubbish.

<center><h3>Unofficialmills.co.uk - The home for all things Scott Mills</h3></center><b>You've Been Busted!</b>

Yesterday Scott was talking about compulsive liars who were even prepared to believe it himself. He recorded this with Matt earlier, because he wanted to go watch the football. His friend Alex claimed he went and babysat David Beckham's children and is rather close to David and Victoria. When he was younger he had trials for Manchester United with David, and all of his friends actually believed him. This is where Scott really has to try out his acting skills, posing as 'Alan' a German World Cup reporter in Germany. He didn't really know much about England and was speaking to David Beckham soon. Alex tried to blag his way through the conversation, but then Scott played a trail for the Chris Moyles show, beginning with 'Hi this is David Beckham' and the phone call terminated. A second attempt and the phone went down even quicker. Hmm, you've been busted!

<I>Alex is apparently babysitting this very minute...</i></center>

Plenty more texts about compulsive liars, including one who claims they auditioned for Baywatch. Imagine that as a Busted - Scott posing as the Hoff! He also thinks Alex's are evil, he sure had it in for them today.

<b>World Cup Widows</b>

And today a girl called Brona was on as a World Cup widow today, as her boyfriend Davie is in the pub. She really needed milk, or so and was pretending to have a baby. She really gave Kat Slater a run for her money. But sadly he wasn't taking any of it, and wasn't going to come home.

And Scott's still looking for Hip Hop Karaoke songs. He's thinking about doing the John Barnes rap. I think it might just be up his street! More about that next week...

A good show today, and rather exclusive to those not interested in the football. Don't forget it's only bley Friday tomorrow, and Scott's got a great selection of Wonder Years (or so he says!) - See you on the forum!

    • Richie Anderson in for Rylan tomorrow.
    • Mylo and Rosie said at the end of their show today that they would also be on Early Breakfast on Thursday 24th July (even though the schedule still says Dean)
    • James is in for Dean from Monday 11th to Thursday 14th August. Dean is in for Greg from Monday 11th to Friday 15th August. Jaguar is in for Sarah on Friday 15th August.
    • Tara Kumar is in for Alyx on Sunday 13th July.
    • Conor Knight & Lauren Layfield are in for Matt & Mollie on Monday 14th July.  Matt is solo on Tuesday 15th July.  Jerry is in for Mollie between Wednesday 16th & Thursday 24th July.  Maia Beth is covering Future Pop on Wednesday 16th & Wednesday 23rd July. On Sunday 27th July the Chillest Show is reduced to an hour, and 20.00-21.00 is a BBC Proms special with JADE. On Thursday 31st July 18.00-20.00 in place of Jack's show it's the Dance Party Warm-Up with Danny Howard (ahead of the Ibiza weekend).
    • Dean McCullough in for Greg w/c 4th August. James Cusack on EB.
    • Well looks like Mollie is off all month now so presumably a personal matter.
    • Intrigued why Matt & Mollie aren't presenting breakfast on Monday, with James in for them instead (which has happened before).. or even James given a chance to present the breakfast show?
    • Sam & Danni seem to be down for Breakfast on Monday. James Cusack on Going Home. That’s another new name in the list of “people who have hosted Going Home in 2025”.
    • Wednesday, surely? But this is another mess, as this weeks Summer press release said it’ll be Sam & Danni no Jamie from the 28th - so it’s actually a whole week earlier!
    • Jamie Laing’s last show before his summer break will be on Wednesday 16th July.
    • I worked out once Scott spent 3 months of a year off his own slot in the Moyles days and more like 4 in Grimmys days, six weeks of his own holiday and projects, six covering Grimmy plus some ad hoc days
    • Back on topic, I think there's quite a few of the current Radio 1 presenters who would be able to adapt to Radio 2's style in the future. It's more of question of how many of them will actually end up there. With much of R2's line up changed over the past couple of years, it's quite possible we won't see much movement there, and R2 management might even decide to look elsewhere to bring in new presenters in future.
    • With OJ covering on bank holidays. She is the best person for the job however... they're going to end up with a situation like Scott covering R1 breakfast back in the day, where she spends quite a bit of time off her own slot covering Breakfast, plus her own holiday and other commitments. She's been filming for something recently which has meant she's been off several days a week since May. She was off last week, on breakfast this week, OJ is on Mon/Tues next week, then She's off the following two weeks.
    • Looking back at this I would say now that Sara is the main cover - I think she has been reestablished as it now
