Judging by this website you already have an army lol! Just normal telly, which doesn't even have Channel5! Dad got Sky taken away because he had an argument with some guy down the phone after they refused to play the pay per view movie we paid for. I was sooooo sad when it went  He was gonna rejoin when they sent an apology letter, except they didn't, just a slip to send if you wanna rejoin....hence I have no Sky lol!

Oh yeah...that was the other sad thing, we did get a freeview box from some dude up north that my dad knows. We got it, plugged it in and it didn't work - which confirmed my fear that we couldn't get it :( But *evil laugh* it was that way with broadband for a while so who knows for the future? Maybe I should start a petition to bring freeview to Kent...hmm getting ideas..!

My dad said the other day that there was a guy he knew from his old work. And he used to have a huge satalite dish in his backhard conneted to his TV. It was said that he could pick up CBS from America and NBC n all that stuff. Like Sky news does for CBS, they must bounce the stuff of satalites for other tv stations in other countries to pick their channel up. Must be interesting to mess around with that, better than watching Big Brother...

on the grid.

Yea, have always wanted to take a look at US tv (mainly to take this p*ss out of it). There would only be the Olsen twins, Paris Hilton, 50 Cent and mabie some old A-Team repeats. But it's funny that they cant do things right!

Commentry from the England game:

"Headball from David Beckham, MichaelOwen puts in into the net, behind the man with gloves" The fact that they couldn't say Michael Owen in two words got me...

on the grid.

Freeview will takeover Sky Digital at the time of the analogue switch-off, which I can quite believe.

The poll, published today, revealed that 62% of delegates registered for the MediaGuardian Edinburgh international TV festival thought that the service would come out on top.

Channel 4's hotly anticipated digital service, More4, will launch on October 10 with a daily topical talk show featuring Boris Johnson's dad, Stanley, as a presenter.

More4 is to have a weekly movie slot, with free-to-air UK TV premieres of titles including The Magdalene Sisters and House of Mirth, plus films from the Film Four library including The Crying Game, The Madness of King George and Dance with a Stranger.

The new digital network will also have repeats of Channel 4 factual shows including Jamie's Great Escape, The Year London Blew Up, The Somme, Priest Idol and The Unteachables.

    • https://youtu.be/A_Cycjg5_9A?si=NiLTFeiTNWBExFoR   As barmy as Sam Ryder has now gone, as shown in this video. I'd still rather it than that bland Olly Alexander record.
    • I like Scott, and I listen to Rylan's show every week... they do sound great together on Eurovision etc but.. as for a daily show together, I don't think it would work. Rylan would probably have to reign it in a bit which would lose his appeal, otherwise it may become too chaotic, in my opinion. That Saturday slot is perfect for Rylan, his rapport with Sally Traffic and Lottie is great. I suppose it comes down to cost as well and if he would want a daily show?   Radio 2 are clearly happy with Scott's show, and considering he's just won Best Entertainment Show at the ARIA's, I can't see them changing much.
    • A win for Scott which is fantastic after the last few years he's been through!
    • Am I outnumbered for not wanting to work in radio? It feels like there's a lot of geeks that want a job in the industry here.
    • Thought Sam and Danni were robbed of an award.
    • OJ Borg is in for Trevor Nelson on the Rhythm Nation tonight (with Phill Williams on overnight). He's also in for Michael Ball for the next two Sundays (12th and 19th May). Ros Atkins (BBC's Analysis editior) is in for Jeremy Vine on Thursday. Another new name to Radio 2 is Oliver Hides from BBC Radio Wales. He sat in for Owain Wynn Evans yesterday and he's in again this Thursday (9th May) and Bank Holiday Monday (27th) Spoony in for Scott Mills from Tuesday 28th till Friday 31st May.
    • Thought they would make it easier to get to this event. There's been no communication from the council or organisers about travel, even though there's talk of train strikes. Smaller councils have done a better job.
    • They do sound good together, but I'm not sure Rylan will want the extra commitments.
    • I have accepted Chris is unlikely to join Scott's show, and that Chappers has moved on, but I still think he could do with a co-host. The most logical solution, I think, is Rylan. He appears more often on his show than not, and they are great together. Radio 2 could lose Rylan's Saturday show and extend his reach by appearing during the week. I think they'd be great!
    • Tattoo took a while to grow on me. I couldn't see the fuss until weeks after. We have a split household here where the war on Gaza is overshadowing an enjoyment. I'm hoping for a protest of some sort.
    • I've heard that the staging is very impressive.  That and him being "known" might prevent an embarrassing result.  I'm a terrible judge of Eurovision though as Tattoo is still so very meh to me.
    • Feels like after the success of Sam Ryder we are going back to our old ways. Olly Alexander's song is pretty weak. Anyone fancy our chances this year?
    • The more time goes on the more you think if they'd actually put some thought into it it should've been Vick & Katie from the start. A proven pairing and Katie ended up on the show anyway - whereas Katie's even mentioned she was only asked to join after the Jamie announcement And even by Going Home standards on time off, it's quite funny that a few months in we still haven't had a full week of the supposed line-up - and that's with a 4-day week.
