Comedy Dave Slammed By Daily Mail In Ice Shocker !!

So... R1's lovely Comedy Dave made his first appearance on 'Dancing On Ice' yesterday evening, neatly skating through to the next round, so well done!!

Despite some quite bizarre facial expressions, a rather feminine dance outfit, some 'interesting' moves and a score of only 11/30, Dave has already won over his adoring masses, who couldn't wait to pick up the 'phone and vote for him!! :hahaha:

Dave says having Moyles + Co. in the actual audience helped him forget his feet and his tendency to overthink, because he was too concerned about them!! Moyles brought a banner with him with "Ice Ice Davey" written on it!!

Comedy Dave also considers it an honour to work with actual skating legends, Torvill and Dean!!

In a shock sudden move, The Mail, however, have been less than complimentary, already branding Dave 'The Next Todd Carty'.... remember him who went crashing off the ice altogether in a shock dance move?

Time will tell.... the choreography for Dave's routine allowed him to embrace his lack of fluidity (meantime), allowing him to move forward in the Show.

Happy voting!!

No? I remember him from the slightly less crap Eastenders and also from Grange Hill...

Professional eater of puppy dogs, baby heads and killer of grannies...

Wow instant approval from the site's super poster. I feel honoured. :)

did you know that this site actually wouldn't of even been here without viv. back in 2005, she alone came up with the idea and built it all herself. she recorded each and every mp3 you can download on here. the once, we were running out of bandwith. and she went all across the north pole to fetch some, in just a t-shirt and jeans with two crippled huskies and a broken sledge. and just 1 fried mars bar to last for 40 days and 40 nights.

so each year, we sacrifice a forum member to viv god as a show of gratitude. all hail muhammad viv!

on the grid.

    • https://youtu.be/A_Cycjg5_9A?si=NiLTFeiTNWBExFoR   As barmy as Sam Ryder has now gone, as shown in this video. I'd still rather it than that bland Olly Alexander record.
    • I like Scott, and I listen to Rylan's show every week... they do sound great together on Eurovision etc but.. as for a daily show together, I don't think it would work. Rylan would probably have to reign it in a bit which would lose his appeal, otherwise it may become too chaotic, in my opinion. That Saturday slot is perfect for Rylan, his rapport with Sally Traffic and Lottie is great. I suppose it comes down to cost as well and if he would want a daily show?   Radio 2 are clearly happy with Scott's show, and considering he's just won Best Entertainment Show at the ARIA's, I can't see them changing much.
    • A win for Scott which is fantastic after the last few years he's been through!
    • Am I outnumbered for not wanting to work in radio? It feels like there's a lot of geeks that want a job in the industry here.
    • Thought Sam and Danni were robbed of an award.
    • OJ Borg is in for Trevor Nelson on the Rhythm Nation tonight (with Phill Williams on overnight). He's also in for Michael Ball for the next two Sundays (12th and 19th May). Ros Atkins (BBC's Analysis editior) is in for Jeremy Vine on Thursday. Another new name to Radio 2 is Oliver Hides from BBC Radio Wales. He sat in for Owain Wynn Evans yesterday and he's in again this Thursday (9th May) and Bank Holiday Monday (27th) Spoony in for Scott Mills from Tuesday 28th till Friday 31st May.
    • Thought they would make it easier to get to this event. There's been no communication from the council or organisers about travel, even though there's talk of train strikes. Smaller councils have done a better job.
    • They do sound good together, but I'm not sure Rylan will want the extra commitments.
    • I have accepted Chris is unlikely to join Scott's show, and that Chappers has moved on, but I still think he could do with a co-host. The most logical solution, I think, is Rylan. He appears more often on his show than not, and they are great together. Radio 2 could lose Rylan's Saturday show and extend his reach by appearing during the week. I think they'd be great!
    • Tattoo took a while to grow on me. I couldn't see the fuss until weeks after. We have a split household here where the war on Gaza is overshadowing an enjoyment. I'm hoping for a protest of some sort.
    • I've heard that the staging is very impressive.  That and him being "known" might prevent an embarrassing result.  I'm a terrible judge of Eurovision though as Tattoo is still so very meh to me.
    • Feels like after the success of Sam Ryder we are going back to our old ways. Olly Alexander's song is pretty weak. Anyone fancy our chances this year?
    • The more time goes on the more you think if they'd actually put some thought into it it should've been Vick & Katie from the start. A proven pairing and Katie ended up on the show anyway - whereas Katie's even mentioned she was only asked to join after the Jamie announcement And even by Going Home standards on time off, it's quite funny that a few months in we still haven't had a full week of the supposed line-up - and that's with a 4-day week.
