Superb for Matt & Mollie, it’s richly deserved as the show is so good.
I honestly think they’re in for a Scott & Chris style long stint on the afternoon slot.
They also appear in the Top 10 Programmes for Under 35’s on BBC Sounds latest data too. M&M are 9th, Going Home is 5th, Greg is 4th with 10s & 00s taking the top 2 spots.
Help I Sexted My Boss has also made it into the Top 10 U35 podcasts on BBC Sounds for the first time!

Incredible to think they only just started and are already 2nd best on the station. Goes to show how much people wanted them on weekdays.

I find it impressive and fascinating that Vernon still has the biggest morning show on radio. 
Given the dire warnings about Ken Bruce leaving, Radio 2 have still done well to keep that show's audience growing.

Strange that Arielle is doing New Music Show and Rave Up back to back 

It’ll launch as Sounds only, but the BBC wants to place this, R1 Dance, R2 spin off & R3 Relax onto DAB - but they need to get additional approval for that to happen 

Honestly same, its strange how many of these spinoff stations both Bauer and global just start every so often while keeping the vast majority of the existing ones going. Partially it's a thing where they own the multiplexes so they do what the hell they like with them. And what they seem to do is just downgrade the Bitrate so more space on the multiplexes and they audience probably doesn't notice or care the drop in sound quality

Mark Goodier is in for Vernon Kay next Monday (16th September). It will be the first time he's covered a show since returning to Radio 2. 

Just Katie and Jamie today, and it was only Vick and Jamie yesterday and on Monday, meaning it’s another week without the full trio together.

Yeah its a shame the night time schedules were really cut back a few years ago. It appears not much live between 10pm-5am nowadays. I think Dan P Carter does the Rock show live though?

Next week is gonna be Breakfast radio dream or nightmare(fitting it all in) Greg,Scott,Moyles and Jordan all on at the same time

I suspect budgets have a lot to do with this. The audience figures just don't justify the spend, even though clearly it'd be better to have live shows later in the evenings. Given the choice between quality presenters during the day and live shows in the evening, it's not really much of an option!

Totally agree like the 10pm show with Sian eleri the power down playlist that would be good if that was live I also would love a live weekend breakfast show before Sam and danni 😃
 

25th August: Christian Carlisle joins Jess Iszatt to present Introducing highlights at Reading & Leeds.
26th August: Same schedule but instead it appears Live Lounge Day will be Top 25 Covers.

Personally, I wouldn’t be surprised if we get more than a weekend afternoon host announced in the next schedule changes and they are potentially waiting for everything to fall into place to then make a big announcement and launch a new schedule in November or January for example. 
 
Because not only will the weekend slot need filling, there is the new R1 spin off station being launched ‘this autumn’, which I can see the likes of Ore, Nat, James etc being part of and I wonder if any of those shows will be simulcasted on the main station. There is then Mollie’s maternity leave which I can see them wanting to cover, and then there’s questions about whether they do something with the Power Down Playlist now that there’s no R1 Relax anymore, could they put something different in that slot? 
So I think management might be waiting to be able to sort a few things out at the same time.
