Emil Franchi joins Katie on Going Home.

Zoe's leaving her Saturday afternoon show already after taking over the 1-3pm slot in May. Emma Willis joins Radio 2 on a permanent basis to replace her. 
Zoe's last show is next Saturday and she will continue to host music specials across the year for R2 and Sounds.

Conor Knight sits in for Sam on Fri 2nd Jan

James Cusack in for Jack covering the Official Charts on the 16th January.

Lauren Redfern in for Nat on 16th January.

What a strange way to think. They should have been going for the best presenters, doesn’t matter what colour they are. If that just so happens to be no black people then so be it.

Greg James will present his first-ever Christmas Day Breakfast show live, followed by festive shows from JADE, GK Barry & Ella Rutherford, Munya Chawawa, Jamie Laing & Sophie Habboo, George Clarke and Charley Marlowe ✨

Better than when on Radio 1, Moyles would joke he was Vern-off ?

Rylan mentioned yesterday that next week is his last show of the year before he does panto. 
Breakfast starts at 7am on NYD, due to the first few editions of Tony Blackburn's Sounds Of Soul series going out between 4 and 7am. There's also a Sounds Of Soul between 12 and 2pm on Friday 2nd January.
NYD afternoon is Pick Of The Pops between 12 and 3pm, 'Your Ultimate Stevie Wonder Song' with Trevor Nelson between 3 and 5pm, then 'The Wonder Of Stevie' with DJ Spoony between 5 and 6pm.

Great to see Mylo and Rosie covering Breakfast.
It was great to see new talent given a chance but it was obvious that only the specialist presenters had a chance to shine.  The yearly Anthems slots were pretty unlistenable after a while.  Back when Radio 1 was my permanent station of choice, it was the only time of the year I switched off.

Scott & Vernon are both showing right up to Christmas Eve, but then so is Owain and the press release said Steffan Powell will be on early breakfast on Christmas Eve/Boxing Day. I'd assume Gary Davies is in for Vernon for a few weeks from Boxing Day at least.
OJ is listed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day overnights still which i can't see being the case. He usually covers for Sara Cox over the Christmas period, but obviously that's Spoony's job this time around

I almost feel like he should just be there as Katie’s cover, it will make the show a whole lot more consistent with Vick, Jamie and him presenting all the Going Home shows between them, and as you say, he sounds very good with Vick. (And as tomorrow shows, they don’t mind putting him on alone either!)

Have to say am really enjoying Emil on the show on the occasions he gets to cover. He & Vick seem to have that Vick & Jordan spark which is impressive given they've only done a handful of shows together.
Between Going Home or covering Matt Edmondson you end up hearing Emil at some point most weeks at the moment.

I think this is a great move & she’ll suit the style of show Scott is doing. Something I was a little concerned about with the suggestion Mark Goodier could provide cover. 
I do wonder if Sara feels a bit put out by missing out on breakfast permanently? Maybe this is a sweetener by getting her back on cover duties. 

Here's an interesting one... Sara Cox is in for Scott covering breakfast on Monday 10th March. She was previously the main stand in for Chris Evans on the breakfast show prior to her taking over drivetime.
In turn, OJ Borg is in for Sara on drive.. and Phil Williams is on overnight for OJ.

Having spent quite a bit of time driving last week, listening to Greg is always good.  The 10 minute takeover provides a good pick me up and his show on Monday was quite good.  
 
RMC im neither here nor there for me  Charlie on Dance Anthems on her own is better.
Matt/Mollie/Jerry is always a good listen
Going home last week when it was just Vick & Katie for the 3/4 shows (I think) was a good listen.   The Wednesday show with Jamie was ok to listen to, I just don't think he added much.
 
Can't comment on weekends as I only listen to Dance Anthems on catch up ?
