Petition About Moyles Leaving !!

Yep, the reality would be ... if people like you don't sign, it will indeed prove to be correct. Because... in not trying, you do, indeed, prove yourself correct.

Personally, I like to have an attempt at things. It took me 17 seconds to fill the petition in (timed my goodself). And I enjoyed making a small comment in the comment box as well.

I can think of a million things (positive to say about Chris).... As to you... if you were leaving, I could find nothing.

and there you go making more insults instead of accepting the fact that even with all the kind comments and signs in the world, the result would be the same. If you could actually try to prove me wrong on this with, yunno, facts and statistics (maybe even a case where such petitions HAVE worked? Just a thought), I'd be more willing to listen, but as usual, you can't/won't, so my opinion stands.

You resort to that because you are incapable of actual debate. You're like the UM version of Louise Mensch (you'd probably like her, actually).

Yes it's cool to try things, so those who think that way will surely be giving Grimmy a shot at least? End of Moyles' time had to come. Also, who says the only choice is R1 or R2? You HAVE to listen to radio to exist? As you told someone else needlessly in another thread: Get a life.

No, I resort to "that" because your negative bullshit is increasingly a bore.... You've got so far down in your negative outlook in life, that you simply can't see a glimmer of sun in any day of the week (such a pity). You're still alive, there's a reality, and a glimmer of sun in itself.

As to Grimmy... yup, I shall give him a shot (he's among the better choices), and did I not just post elsewhere that I would STILL rather have him as Chris Evans (non starter there for me)??? *goes to check*

Yup, that is what I said. :-)

Unsurprisingly I agree with Doovde on this one, it's a nice idea but it won't make a blind bit of difference so I won't be contributing.

And Viv, no jokes about Alzheimer's please. Even for you that's pretty low.

    • https://youtu.be/A_Cycjg5_9A?si=NiLTFeiTNWBExFoR   As barmy as Sam Ryder has now gone, as shown in this video. I'd still rather it than that bland Olly Alexander record.
    • I like Scott, and I listen to Rylan's show every week... they do sound great together on Eurovision etc but.. as for a daily show together, I don't think it would work. Rylan would probably have to reign it in a bit which would lose his appeal, otherwise it may become too chaotic, in my opinion. That Saturday slot is perfect for Rylan, his rapport with Sally Traffic and Lottie is great. I suppose it comes down to cost as well and if he would want a daily show?   Radio 2 are clearly happy with Scott's show, and considering he's just won Best Entertainment Show at the ARIA's, I can't see them changing much.
    • A win for Scott which is fantastic after the last few years he's been through!
    • Am I outnumbered for not wanting to work in radio? It feels like there's a lot of geeks that want a job in the industry here.
    • Thought Sam and Danni were robbed of an award.
    • OJ Borg is in for Trevor Nelson on the Rhythm Nation tonight (with Phill Williams on overnight). He's also in for Michael Ball for the next two Sundays (12th and 19th May). Ros Atkins (BBC's Analysis editior) is in for Jeremy Vine on Thursday. Another new name to Radio 2 is Oliver Hides from BBC Radio Wales. He sat in for Owain Wynn Evans yesterday and he's in again this Thursday (9th May) and Bank Holiday Monday (27th) Spoony in for Scott Mills from Tuesday 28th till Friday 31st May.
    • Thought they would make it easier to get to this event. There's been no communication from the council or organisers about travel, even though there's talk of train strikes. Smaller councils have done a better job.
    • They do sound good together, but I'm not sure Rylan will want the extra commitments.
    • I have accepted Chris is unlikely to join Scott's show, and that Chappers has moved on, but I still think he could do with a co-host. The most logical solution, I think, is Rylan. He appears more often on his show than not, and they are great together. Radio 2 could lose Rylan's Saturday show and extend his reach by appearing during the week. I think they'd be great!
    • Tattoo took a while to grow on me. I couldn't see the fuss until weeks after. We have a split household here where the war on Gaza is overshadowing an enjoyment. I'm hoping for a protest of some sort.
    • I've heard that the staging is very impressive.  That and him being "known" might prevent an embarrassing result.  I'm a terrible judge of Eurovision though as Tattoo is still so very meh to me.
    • Feels like after the success of Sam Ryder we are going back to our old ways. Olly Alexander's song is pretty weak. Anyone fancy our chances this year?
    • The more time goes on the more you think if they'd actually put some thought into it it should've been Vick & Katie from the start. A proven pairing and Katie ended up on the show anyway - whereas Katie's even mentioned she was only asked to join after the Jamie announcement And even by Going Home standards on time off, it's quite funny that a few months in we still haven't had a full week of the supposed line-up - and that's with a 4-day week.
