Surely he could have just carried on beat or repeat? unles Arielle is taking that to R1D. What he should do is a feature that gets the brekfast presenter involved about 0640, something like bangers and play the track at 650.

Yeah it was a bit messy in the old days - you would have at least 6 weeks of Scott and chris covering for Moyles/Grimmy in the year, as well as odd days, so many times specially during the Grimmy era they were called last minute to swap into Breakfast Then theywould both have about 6-7 weeks of a year as well, and many times not together so if Chris was off Scott would do the show solo and if Scott was off Chris would work with Matt, Alice, Jordan etc Many times Scott would start his own leave after two weeks on Breakfast as well so you would get 4-5 weeks of no Scott on drive or lunchtime I worked out just on the standard leave quota Scott was not on his own slot for three months a year plus any ad hoc days Grimmy used to call in sick, take a short notice day off etc (the one i remember vividly was the one where Grim was injured in the football match on the Sunday)

Suspect it will be new editions but not live and interactive Just a loads of blocks of classic anthems with Charlie recording links at 15 min intervals maybe which is a 5 min job after her weekday show - or a couple hours on a Friday maybe when they are not working I expect Arielle to be live 9-12 weekdays but Dannys DP Warm up suspect will be a recorded show

Obvs - Scott 2-4 and Trevor Nelson are also in 82A

I know we have discussed this before, but can someone shed some light hoping @Lily Georgia can help Since the Wogan House closure, and 1-330 from Manchester, studio 82A (Mills) has been used by Scott's R2 show, in fact i note that him and Grandad Nelson are from there now days The question I have is with 1-330 coming from London again soon, who is getting a new studio? will Scott move to one of the newer ones down the corridor or will he remain in 82A and M&M get a new studio They cannot use 82D as that is used for drive, and currenlty 82A is in use by Scott from 2-4pm In the old days it used to be 82A for Greg, Scott, Annie and 82D Adele, RMC, Drive, Jack I note that Jack is in a brand new studio so maybe M&M will come from that one as well, maybe the same one as Vine uses?

INdeed off topic I know Scott is already back in 82A and most of the rest of R2 are in the new 8th floor studios now does anyone know how many new studios and when shows like Vine and Zoe are moving I know Sara has already moved Can anyone share in intel on this and what studios are for what now

I would not be suprised either put a safe pair of hands in for a few weeks - even Matt and Mollie (Matt used to cover drive for Greg in the 10s) In history every show change they have had a few weeks off before, and in effect Going Home will be relaunched with new features and format The only time I have known no gap is when Scott and Greg swapped slots in 2012, literally finished on the Friday and come Monday Scott was on at 1 and Greg at 4

I believe Scott was 1st choice for Heart when Jamie and Amanda started Breakfast and he entered negoiations for that gig which he then declined, probably being promised a move to 2 in the long run and in the short term given mids on Sat on R5L

As I said earlier (I am a radio professional and know these things) he will be bound by an NDA about the new job so cannot comment. The Beeb would have put him on Gardening leave immediately as his new role is a conflict of interest.

Its standard conflict of interest management The Beeb will not want him building following more before he leaves and he is going into direct competition with Greg With Scott it was slightly different as he was staying internally however he did not once promote the fact he would be on R2 while he was still on R1 Yet now he is on R2 he often mentions stuff from R1 days and iroinically now uses his old 82A studio

He is not on drive next week been taken off schedule I reckon they have done a Ken on him, so he sits home being paid for the rest of the contract
