  1. Grimshaw and North to swap I suspect and at the same time RMC would get Mids on Friday as well September 2022 Mills to R2 M&M to weekday afternoons Monday - Friday, Jordan takes on chart so is on drive 5 days making Friday daytime back to being part of the week
  2. Scott's departure is speculated all the time, it's like Moyles in about 2008 when they speculated it, I wish people would jjst leave him alone and enjoy the radio he does, when he does finally leave, it will be straight to Radio 2 so we won't loose him, he's in a kind of waiting room at the moment waiting the "slot" to come up on R2
  3. They told us why... because of COVID listening habits have changed, no longer is there a mad commute at 7/730 by car which was the massive listener base in the mornings, 90% of the UK is WFH and many firms are staying as WFH models as they have found it works so well, and saves costs of renting masses of office space when they can just hire conference facilities when they need, therefore more people aren't getting up than before COVID, ergo not listening at 6.30 anymore, more likely listening at 730/8am (My Mrs used to get up at 0530 to leave at 7 for work in the car now she gets up at 645 to start WFH at 830 - see the difference) They also had to deal with the evening listeners not commuting home at the same time, and more likely listening to Annie earlier, so they had to move her earlier as well, now Grimmy catches the teens off the school run as well as the 5pm commuters who may have him on at 5 past 5 in the kicthen after their commute down the stairs while preping dinner as opposed to having him on 530 - 630 while driving home or on the train Does this make sense to you?
  4. Dev's situation was slightly different as in he was covering the 9-11 weeknight slot until they got a new host (RMC) - when he started covering they didn't know who would take the slot This is one week only
  5. I wonder if they would move her to drive if Grim left?
  6. MistaJam had a pop at R1 saying no pre recorded mixes here, do we know how Radio 1 do it? and is Dance Anthems done the same way? I always "assumed" him and Charlie mixed it themselves on the decks
  7. I would like to see "Where ere they" come back as well, it seems the show only has three slots for features, 140, 240 and 310, the first half hour is always and always has been too music heavy for my liking, also I don't see why they have to have a newsbeat at 130, when there is the long one at 1245?
  8. Yeah they are good, makes you wonder why they left Kiss for evenings on R1? and before COVID were they destined for bigger things at R1?
  9. Yeash he kind of missed the boat a bit - waited on earlies for a bit then got weekend breakfast which i'd say was less of a gig, then covered weekdays, maybe had Grimmy gone after breakfast completely he would have got drive maybe but - like Scott with breakfast that ship sailed I think in an alternate world Moyles shoudl ahve left in about 2009/10 then Scott on breakfast for 5 years then onto afternoons, like Mayo etc with Greg taking Breakfast then and Grimmy not on weekdays
  10. Indeed - He doesn't want to be doing a Bannister type clear out specially when there is a pandemic on - Dev and all were difficult decisions, can you imagine the uproar there will be if Scott or dare I even say Grimmy moves on? He knows that as well
  11. Yes quite - if they Know Jordan is headed for daytime (drive) then they need to find a cover to cover for him
  12. Will Manning did both? Wes Butters?
  13. It is always good radio - I wonder if the 9am finish is a start point - we know that Katie is on the chart and we know Matt and Mollie are planning something for it, last time in 2019 it was due to be 24hrs and Greg was due to cover for Scott on the day after however they continued until 4 and made it 27, the same as 2017 when they started at 4 after their own show I reckon 9am is the minimum, and they will actually go to 4pm Friday making it 31
  14. I defo think they are better at lunch time and Adele is perfect on weekend breakfast As regards to lunchtimes in general, I think and maintain that Scott and Chris will end up on nights on Radio 2 with Trevor taking the Ken slot, meaning Scott can keep the chart Friday afternoon and be general cover for R2 daytime like Trevor is Then M&M to weekday lunchtimes Monday to Friday, Jordan to drive Grimmy to one of the weekend shows maybe the 10-1 slot with someone new on th2 1-4 Sat and Sun slot
  15. I think it has to be a marathon event I am going with - 10 years almost to the month of the 52hr show so I reckon they (Scott, Chris and Greg) are going for something like 70 hours maybe Start on Breakfast on Wednesday and finish at 4pm Friday for the chart to start with Kaite and Vick ?
  16. Lol indeed - It is ten years since the 52 hour show - maybe it's an attempt at that Scott Chris and Greg together?

    .

Maybe they have an absolute time marker like Myriad does and Playoutone

    .

It's a very manual operation then compared to something like Myriad where if it's set right stick it into auto during the last song upto the news news in plays and it connects to the news service - one station I work at you have to fade up Sky News as the news in plays and you have a selection of ramps of the stations theme in different tempos to play upto the news for backtiming, varying between 15 secs and 45 secs I know other stations that use RNH bulletins that are dropboxed and then auto imported into a track about 5 to the hour, so they are less important to hit time dead on as the news is pre recorded as such

    .

I assume each presenter logs in and it brings up their cart wall and settings? how does stuff like the ten minute take over work? and the faders are push to start? also can the configure the faders for each presenter or are their outputs set
  20. And Rosin working on Fridays now as well she didn't before
  21. She was very this is that was and coming up at 7 is
