9 September 2008: The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato faced Scott’s Cheryl Cole impression

Scott tested Cheryl Cole on the street

Scott had been working on an impression of Cheryl Cole and decided the only fair test was to take it outside the studio. Members of the public were asked to identify who he was attempting to sound like, with the uncertainty becoming funnier than a polished impression would have been.

The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato arrived

Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas joined Demi Lovato to talk about Camp Rock and the enormous attention surrounding them. Scott treated the visit as a chance to ask about their lives as well as the film, with Cheryl Cole even entering the conversation as a celebrity crush.

What’s Occurring? returned to the mix

The day also featured another round of What’s Occurring?, with clips involving Radio 1 voices and pop-culture catchphrases. The programme was by now comfortable mixing major international guests with deliberately low-stakes games, and the contrast between the Jonas Brothers’ fan frenzy and Scott wandering around with a Cheryl impression was exactly the point.
