So as discussed in the chat box.. it appears she has actually left Radio 2. I'm sure Shaun said last week or the week before that she would be back, so seems rather sudden. Will be interesting to see who replaces her, if they go for a show with a similar presenting style/vibe and eclectic music collection. Shaun Keaveny getting that slot full time would be a good choice. Josh Widdicombe would be another possible candidate. -
23rd-25th March CassKidd in for Sian on the Power Down Playlist 3rd April (Radio 1 Dance Day) 7am-1pm is Radio 1 Dance shows (10:30am-11am is normal Radio 1 Anthems) 1pm-4pm: Radio 1 Dance Party Starters with Sam and Danni 6pm-10pm: Radio 1 Rave Lounge 10pm-12am: Franky Wah in for Pete Tong -
Pretty sure the shows are recorded in Birmingham and/or Glasgow. -

How do they broadcast this station? Is it voicetracked? Do they use the same Radio 1 studios? Is it expensive to broadcast it? -
@ianwilk1999 There's a tv ratings thread on Digital Spy forum. Although I haven't seen anything reported for This Morning in recent times... I believe most of ITV daytime is under a million. It only really picks up a bit for Tipping Point and The Chase.

Vernon is not going to give up the biggest radio gig in Europe and regular presenting role on The One Show for This Morning that is watched by less than a million viewers. The papers always run stories like that, same with the constant Who's going to host Strictly articles.

Still reports doing rounds that vernon off to this morning with tess I think spoony will do his morning show nd Melvin in the evenings -
"Go to bed with me Colin Murray!" Really enjoyed his evening show, and Grimmy when he took over. -
Shame they haven't had their own Radio 1 podcast together, they have so many brilliant moments.

The line-up particularly on the Saturday does leave something to be desired. Budget cuts hitting potentially. Maybe it's an unfair comparison (given it was basically London) but I went to the Sunday of the Hackney Big Weekend and honestly that line-up is in another league when on the supporting stages alone you had Taio Cruz, David Guetta and Lana Del Ray. -
There are only 3 stages this year! The Dance Stage does no longer exist
