  1. I used to quite like Robbie Williams' solo stuff but now I want to cut my own ears off whenever I hear any of it, particularly that new one "You Know Me" because it is overplayed SO MUCH where I work (ok, volunteer) where they play bloody Heart FM.
  2. I used to hate Blue (Da Ba Dee) when it came out because it was annoying and played everywhere. But a couple of years ago I listened to it in the context of the album it's from and it is hilarious. I quite like it now.
  3. Deeply Dippy is a tune, always makes me smile.
  4. Wow two classics! I had conveniently managed to forget that Crazy Frog - Axel F was number 1 on my 17th birthday, but now I've been reminded
  5. Got dumped on Easter Sunday (for the second time this year, by the same person). Definitely not giving him another chance, ever. I miss him though and it's not really what I need in my current state but I guess it's for the best *sigh*. Today I've felt dizzy all day, keep falling over when I move my head and the room seems to be slowly revolving. Not fun at all.
  6. I liked him. He's got the energy to be a good Doctor. I'm interested to see where they progress. And his new companion seems like she'll be good as well. I'm kind of tempted to try fish fingers and custard. I like them both separately, but not sure how they'd be together.
  7. You got some? So answer the question that's been on everyone's* lips: man or a woman? *This probably doesn't mean everyone.

    want some spam??

Thanks for letting me know with only 295 days before Christmas to make my decision about which of your brilliant products to invest in. The information comes not a day too soon!
  9. I did 1 hour on Monday as a trial, did 4 hours yesterday, will probably do 3 or 4 hours on Friday. Then next week I'm not sure yet. I'm trying to get used to being out and doing stuff before I work out how many hours I'll do in a normal week. It is good to be back out there and interacting with people other than my doctor and counsellor.
  10. I've started volunteering in a charity shop. It's nearly 3 months since I last worked and I was very anxious about how I'd manage going out and being around other people in a place of work again. I'm finding it quite enjoyable and it is stopping me from blaming myself for being useless and reducing the negative thoughts I have about myself. I actually quite enjoy sorting through other people's junk they've donated and deciding whether things are saleable or not. I've also been going to the gym and I can feel that I am fitter and stronger. I'm going to be spending a few days in the Peak District with my best friend at the end of this month so I've set that as a target to get fitter for. After several months of doing very little, I'd got pretty weak.
  11. http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2010/mar/02/dr-crippen-bogus-whiplash-industry ahem I was reading this in the Guardian this morning. Not that I'm accusing Mr Kiz of this, just to follow on from what Alan said. A car crash is always a shock and a traumatic experience, no matter how minor the injuries anyway. I hope he feels better soon.
  12. Fast-moving - Web Octopuses like you surf fast - just like real-world octopuses which use a form of ‘jet propulsion’ to escape predators. Solitary - Real-world octopuses are independent animals and only rarely interact with each other. Similarly, when you are looking for information you tend to go it alone rather than rely on social networks or other sites whose content is created by its users. Adaptable - Octopuses are highly adaptable and show a range of sophisticated behaviours. Your results show you are also able to keep track of several different things simultaneously, without your multitasking adversely affecting your performance. The 'games' were quite a headache. Took a lot of concentration. Also thinking about the amount of time I spend online was quite worrying.
  13. I'd probably continue sitting here wasting my life, but I wouldn't have to feel guilty about it Oh and I'd donate some to charities that I think are worthwhile. And take a holiday.
  14. Aww I love tulips there's some here too which my dad bought.
  15. Bah I can't eat chocolate or pancakes so today and tuesday are both going to be a bit meh. But today is nearly over for another year!
  16. I don't exactly have a busy schedule these days so can probably do any day. It sounds like a cool idea
  17. Hmm a lot of things do contain wheat. Gluten free biscuits can tend to taste like cement as well. You can buy noodles that are made out of rice that you pour boiling water over, they're quite cheap and you can eat them with pasta sauce. http://www2.sainsburys.co.uk/food/allergies-intolerances/allergies-intolerances.htm supermarkets do have quite a lot now for special diets. http://www2.sainsburys.co.uk/NR/rdonlyres/C6EB41FA-1645-4D41-8A67-DDBAC5B80E67/0/Wheatjanuary2010.pdf might be a useful document to give you an idea of which things contain wheat and which things don't.
  18. Heather that girl sounds horrible. I feel sorry for you because I had so many housemate troubles in 2nd year. She should have apologised for that random bloke walking into your room and cleaned up after him at the very least. I'd like to hope that he was drunk. And he should have taken one look, said "oh sorry it's not the bathroom" and left your room. Bringing randomers home is one thing but thinking it's fine for them to wander into your flatmates' rooms at 4am is completely out of order. Do you have any other flatmates? I know it's upsetting that she's said these things about you and Rich but it sounds like you might be better off without her living there (although to be honest that's likely to be an empty threat, unfortunately).
  19. Happy birthday John, I hope you have a good one!
  20. Facebook is displaying "Meet single guys" ads again It's raining. I am just digesting the information that I found out today, about the lies he told me and the stories he kept spinning. I don't know what was real and what was made up any more. I think I am still in shock though and the lowest feelings are yet to come. And I only had 3 hours sleep.
  21. I feel exactly the same right now. I just got dumped, because he wants to have more free time. Seriously. Makes me feel like the clingiest person ever. And I had to sit there and rationally discuss it and seem fine when a month ago he told he me loved me. It hasn't really sunken in yet. I actually have nothing much left now - no job, no relationship, and my friends are all moving away places.
  22. I can't believe we're discussing this :hahaha: But I think the blue one looks like a gym type bag, or a kids PE kit bag. Either that or she's actually a kleptomaniac bag thief... (for legal reasons, this is a joke, not an allegation)
  23. Hmm All Time Low are more pop punk than emo... think McFly with emo fringes. You Me At Six are crap, The Blackout not great from what I've heard. But I have to admit that All Time Low is a guilty pleasure of mine.

    iPad

Someone made the point in The Guardian that it doesn't have a lid like a laptop or any way of protecting it, making sure the screen doesn't get damaged. It doesn't fit in your pocket. I guess they'll sell a plethora of bags and cases to keep the things dry. I'm not really convinced it's anything that amazing though, just seems to be an iPhone/BlackBerry/HTC smartphone in a slightly bigger size, without the phoning or camera capabilities. And it's pretty expensive. I won't be investing in one, but that's hardly a surprise since I don't own/use any Apple products.
