According to the BBC listings, this is how Saturday will look for Live 8 on Radio 1. Scott is working with the lady he took over from – Sara Cox.
- 7am – Weekend Breakfast with Spoony
- 10am – Chappers and Dave, in for Vernon Kay, with the build-up to the concert (this replaces the originally listed JK and Joel)
- 1pm – Radio 1 at Live 8: live from backstage at Hyde Park, Sara Cox and Scott Mills bring you the day’s excitement, with interviews, news and live performances from the headline artists
- 3pm – Radio 1 at Live 8 with Chris Moyles and Vernon Kay
- 5pm – Radio 1 at Live 8 with Colin and Edith
- 9pm – Westwood Live 8 Special, from the Philadelphia concert, including 50 Cent, Jay-Z and P Diddy
BBC TV coverage starts at 1pm on BBC Two with Jonathan Ross, Jo Whiley and Fearne Cotton, moving to BBC One at 4.15pm and running until 3.30am. BBC Three has Live 8 Reloaded from 7pm until 3am, and Radio 2’s coverage runs from 1pm to 8pm with Chris Evans, Davina McCall and Dermot O’Leary.
In the run-up, Maroon 5 joined Scott on the show on Tuesday 28 June from 4pm.
