London's most rivalled view
Before seeing Suicide Squad, Scott and Chris visit a hotel rooftop bar promising “unrivalled views of London”. They reach the top to find murky weather, a plant and the top of one barely identifiable building. Listeners agree that the view is unrivalled only in its disappointment.
The failed rooftop becomes another example of ordinary things being oversold. Scott posts the evidence online, while Chris supplies his own equally unimpressive “unrivalled view” of Scott.

A vacancy in James's love life
James is using so many dating apps that keeping up with the conversations has begun to feel like a second job. His solution is to recruit a dating-app personal assistant who can learn his personality, handle the messages and leave James to attend only the resulting dates. Scott and Chris help him consider applications and the awkward question of whether the assistant should be paid.
A listener reveals that she already has a similar arrangement. Her male colleague h [...]

Breakfast radio and a named tram
Scott and Chris are covering the Radio 1 Breakfast Show from Wednesday to Friday. Chris has been awake since 2:30 in the morning and has still found time to play FIFA, where strangers abuse him through the headset.
Vicky McClure joins them while working nights in Glasgow on BBC thriller The Replacement. Despite her success in Line of Duty and This Is England, she remains based in Nottingham, where a tram has been named in her honour. She discusses the strange pri [...]
A doorbell sings Celine Dion
Chris is away for two days, leaving Scott to present alone without Bangers or Innuendo Bingo. Scott discovers that his troublesome doorbell can change tunes and selects "My Heart Will Go On". The result makes an ordinary delivery feel like the climax of Titanic, and the person at the door is understandably uncertain how to respond.
Listeners report owning similar bells, including one that can accept uploaded music. The feature creates the worrying possibility that an [...]
A weekend of awkward DJ sets
Scott describes DJing for Staffordshire Young Farmers, where the electrical supply failed and beer was thrown as the crowd reacted to the interruption. At another appearance in Milton Keynes, a security guard mistook him for an ordinary member of the audience and pushed him back into the crowd while he was trying to take a selfie.
The stories leave Scott wondering how recognisable he really is when he steps away from the Radio 1 studio.

Mum enters the group chat
Lea returns with an update about her best friend Lauren, a personal trainer who has begun training Lea's mother. The arrangement has expanded far beyond exercise: her mother joins their group chat and Snapchat conversations, invents nicknames for everyone and goes with Lauren on a day trip to Matlock involving fish and chips and a rowing boat.
Lea initially feels displaced as the two become increasingly close, but now accepts that she is effectively the third wheel in a [...]
The poll produces an unexpected result
Nearly 10,000 people vote in a Twitter poll on whether Scott and Chris should be allowed to commentate on a Euro 2016 match, and 93 per cent say yes. Scott still treats the idea as a joke that has gone too far, while Chris is already preparing as though a major broadcasting career has begun.
Alan Shearer calls from Paris with the decisive news: the BBC has agreed to put the pair on the Red Button for Thursday's France versus Germany semi-final. He says he h [...]
