  1. Oh don't worry. I have had a bit of a crush on him for about 2 years, I'm not ashamed to say it either!
  2. Four words: I LOVE YOU CHRIS! Even if nobody else in the world thinks this, I do.
  3. He's gone and got his face on a double page spread in our local paper! Even though giving awards to kids in Stoke doesn't sound particularly glamorous, I want to say a massive THANK YOU! to Aled for doing it. Nothing really ever happens around here because of our reputation, but Aled doing things like this really makes me smile. Since The Chris Moyles Show were kind enough to do a Karaoke Night here, the show seems to mention Stoke-on-Trent more too, and not usually in a negative light either! Sorry to preach but it has to be said, Radio 1 events really does reach out to the whole country and help out in the long term. Thank you Aled and the R1 team! Anyway, here's the link (there's a nice picture included too): http://www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk/news/High-achievers-receive-awards-hard-work/article-2655838-detail/article.html Radio One personality Aled Jones, who presents Sunday Surgery and produces the Chris Moyles Show, presented the awards for the category of academic excellence. He told The Sentinel he was "very happy" to be presenting awards to people he felt he could identify with. He said: "I was someone who at school did not do very well academically, but my achievements came from the extra-curricular activities I got involved with and through my work experience with the BBC I managed, with hard work and sheer determination, to get to where I wanted to be. "It was not down to what I did in the classroom. But there are a lot of young people in Stoke-on-Trent who have aspirations and I hope that by recognising what they have done, they will realise that they can succeed." Chris Butler received an award for academic excellence. The Stoke-on-Trent College student who studied a BTEC in media, will be starting a degree in TV Production at university in Bournemouth today. The 18-year-old entered a BBC competition last year and was one of the lucky winners in the editing category. He said: "I was thrilled when I found out I had won a placement with the BBC in London editing programmes including The Culture Show. "It was so exciting. I don't think my feet ever touched the ground. "I'm honoured to receive an award. I studied hard to get my BTEC but I enjoyed it every step of the way."
  4. Wasn't this in the paper last week? Either way I don't really care that much. Congrats and that, but.. meh.
  5. When I move out, I am so buying mugs with that on! My life would be complete.
  6. I know what you mean, they do look alike, except that looks likes a picture of Fearne Cotton has had eyes enlarged etc for comedy effect.
  7. Have you noticed seemingly anti-Moyles stories tend to be published late Friday, early Saturday type time? That way he can't defend himself until Monday morning. As I said, I don't like commenting on people's lives like this, but Chris is one of the few people I will always defend. Not that my voice will get heard, it's just the fact that people seem to think they can lay into him whenever they want to, with flimsy stories that simply aren't any of their business. I love Chris and I'm sure him and Sophie are fine, if not well I'm sorry, however that is their life and nobody else's.
  8. God bless everyone who was affected by that day. I still can't believe anybody would want to do anything like that, I was only about 7 when it happened but even I knew how sick it was at the time.
  9. I dont like to comment on people's lives like this, but I have to say that I doubt this story is true. I hope not anyway, Moyles is lovely and I'm sure Sophie is too!
  10. Oooh I love those! Don't they use them anymore? I haven't listened to the show live for quite a while unfortunately.
  11. "Like OMG its so weird, we love our fans they mean so much to us like COME ON its CRAAAZY!"
  12. Yes, sir! http://www.facebook.com/LucieTunz#!/photo.php?pid=1222346&id=1460762812&ref=fbx_album
  13. I caught the end of the show today: I LOVED IT! Screw the "fresh new talent" - nobody likes them anyway.
  14. 1. Not sure, but my favourite ones when I was really young were Vengaboys and The Beatles - 1. 2. A local band that my brother's girlfriend's brother was in. My first "real gig" with popular bands was actually a festival. The one where I met John and Edward 3. The Simpsons or The Fresh Prince of Bel Air!
  15. I saw this thread and was well confused because I was sure your birthday was in September. Then I realised, it IS September! Crickey, where's the summer gone? Happy Birthday anyway, Jono!
  16. Oooh I need the goss! Reminds me of the show several months ago when, I think it was Rachel or Carrie, took a random day off and he went on a rant about how he'd do the same. 'mon the Moyles!
  17. I used to watch the show a few years ago but I haven't seen it since. Randomly it came on tonight and blimey, hearing Dave's voice made me jump a mile. It was like he was talking next to me for a second. Good gig for him to get there though!
  18. Congratulations kizmok! Great news! Well I just came back from holiday which was lovely, though I have a bit of post-holiday blues now. Also got my results (a few days later than everyone else) and I got an A* in Geography - I'm so effin' happy! Woooo! Though my school's a little bit rubbish and unless I'm mistaken I dont really have evidence that I even took a Health and Social Care course, never mind passed it! Hopefully they'll send me a missing sheet or something or it'll turn up with my certificates. If not I have no idea what to do.
  19. Yeah, I had no idea about the wee slip-up. Anyone got a clip? :-)
  20. Yeah, did anyone here get A Level results this time? Hope everyone did well. You're all brilliant anyway!
  21. I want to enter so I can get the tour (obvs) and support our Millsys' site, but probably wouldn't be able to make it!
  22. Found a great radio station to volunteer at today! Well chuffed. They seem like a lovely bunch who help people do more around the place than make cuppas! Hopefully I'll be able to start soon.
