  1. Really looking forward to that week and hearing people like Zane, Annie and Huw who are genuinely enthusiastic about the music they play.
  2. Quite. I was expecting a bit more of a story when I clicked on the thread.
  3. Even if she was ill, surely her producers were still there? The pauses as they went to Newsbeat from the pre-recorded Moyles bit were ridiculous.
  4. Even if it is all true, Moyles is hardly going to admit to it right now.
  5. Belated birthday wishes.
  6. I was listening and didn't realise he'd done it until Scott apologised.
  7. It's just lazy lyric writing to constantly use 'Mick Jagger' because you can't think of anything to rhyme with swagger. First Kesha, now this new Black Eyed Peas song.
  8. There's a time and a place for a sense of humour. A murder inquest isn't an example.
  9. Well clearly his statement wouldn't have been as truthful as it should have been if he was shoe-horning lyrics into it. And he's meant to be an officer of the law. Clearly a punishable offence.
  10. From the press release, it seems like Huw's Wed/Thu 12-2 show will go nationwide. I guess he will also present the England show on a Sunday night once it moves.
  11. 3) Kelis - 4th of July (Fireworks) 2) Two Door Cinema Club - Undercover Martyn 1) David Guetta ft. Kid Cudi - Memories They spring to mind right now, but other good ones are Prayin by Plan B, Up In the Clouds by Darwin Deez, In My System by Tinchy Stryder and (It's Not War) Just the End of Love by the Manics.
  12. I don't think the early morning starts would fit very well with Annie's DJing. Interesting thought though. I remember enjoying Zane on breakfast as a one-off. Would be quite a move to put more of a music slant on breakfast. I do feel that breakfast needs to have a strong identity compared to the rest of the daytime output. As people have already said, this is the strength of Moyles. I can't help but feel the whole daytime schedule becomes quite generic the moment he leaves.
  13. Exactly. Considering it's an interview, it must be assumed that people who have lived long, fascinating lives will have something far more interesting to say than N-Dubz would, for instance.
  14. Surely Evans was even worse at R1 with regards to 'being the story'?
  15. Presumably because in the long run R1 see Greg as a potential drivetime DJ. That is not and was not the case with Edith/Fearne/Jo.
  16. Will listen to Sara in the morning but won't be going out of my way to listen at any other time of the day.
  17. I heard the first fifteen minutes or so of the interview. Came across very well - easy flowing conversation.
  18. He was only on with Moyles last week. Seems a bit soon to be at R1 again.
  19. Not a MASSIVE fan, but I'm pretty familiar with most of the back catalogue
