The tribute to Gillian McKeith that Chris Moyles has been championing on the breakfast show for the last week has charted on the Radio 1's Chart Show this evening. Brett Domino's musical accolade to the I'm A Celebrity 'star' peaked at Number 11 on the iTunes chart on Friday and reached Number 29 on Radio 1's Chart Show beating off a new entry from Usher. Trevor and Gemma will depart the BBC Radio 1Xtra breakfast show at the end of the year as the station promotes Twin B to the flagship show. The station will also say goodbye to Mike Anthony and Treble T aka Rampage, Maxand Ras Kwame. This week Sara Cox is back in the hot seat sitting in for Scott who is away filming a new TV project for BBC3. On her show each day from 4pm she's got tickets to the Teen Awards and she'll no doubt have some quirky games to fill the time too. Scott Mills is back in two week's time!
After a week's holiday Scott Mills is back on Radio 1 from 6.30am on Monday. He'll be sitting in for Chris Moyles and team as they take a well-earned break. Sara Cox, who was presenting the breakfast show last week, will sit in for Scott Mills from 4pm during the week. It's a return to the lunch time show for Greg James who will be on-air again at 1pm and Fearne Cotton carries on in her 10am slot.
With both Scott Mills and Chris Moyles off on their holiday next week it's a bit of a change for the schedule with Sara Cox presenting the breakfast show with the team between 6.30am and 10.00am. Greg James meanwhile will present the drive time show. It's Fearne Cotton as normal at 10am and Dev in for Greg at 1pm.
