Odeal was the star turn in Friday's Live Lounge, delivering a stripped-back performance that had Charlie Hedges and Jerry comparing his sound to D'Angelo before he covered Jon B's "They Don't Know". The R&B star admitted the chat got personal when he revealed the sweetest thing he's done since finding fame is giving his mum new experiences. "Allowing her to experience the world the way I experience it," he said, describing trips and travel he's been able to give her.

He also had the studio in stitches recalling a recent haircut, telling Charlie and Jerry his own barber played him one of his tracks without realising who he was cutting. Odeal said hearing his lyrics back from a stranger made him properly listen to his own advice for the first time. On love, he was refreshingly honest, admitting "we're still searching, man" when asked if he'd found it yet, and revealed he'd love a Bruno Mars collaboration for a planned 2027 album, even if he wouldn't confirm a title.
