Charlie and Jerry restart their show after mic sounds like it’s broadcasting from a van

Charlie and JerryRecap of the show on

Charlie Hedges and Jeremiah 'Jerry' Asiamah had to stop and start their entire show again after a few minutes on air, blaming "gremlins in the studio" for sound so bad listeners thought they were broadcasting from "a box". Jerry told listeners, "sounds like you're broadcasting from a van," before the pair decided to pretend the first five minutes never happened and reintroduce the show from scratch.

With Rachel Chinouriri due in the Live Lounge, the pair swapped their own dance-floor embarrassments. Charlie revealed she's fallen over on stage twice in the last six months, including toppling backwards off the stage at Wembley in front of 10,000 people, while Jerry countered with a story about so much foundation transferring onto his face after a club kiss that "you couldn't tell who I was."

The duo also got their Live Lounge dress code badly wrong. Having told listeners Rachel had asked fans to wear blue, silver, purple and "shimmy shimmy" to match her new album, Charlie and Jerry turned up in silver outfits only to find Rachel and her full band dressed head to toe in black, leaving Charlie "mortified."

The One Second Club also returned for its second day, with Abby from the Cotswolds correctly identifying the song's style but guessing wrong, naming Razorlight's In the Morning when it wasn't the track played, extending the unbeaten clip to three seconds for the next caller.
