Rickie Haywood-Williams and Melvin Odoom are among five presenters leaving BBC Radio 1 as the station prepares to introduce a significantly refreshed schedule.
Dean McCullough, Nat O’Leary, James Cusack and Swarzy will also depart the station as part of the changes, which come into effect from September.
Rickie and Melvin are leaving Radio 1 after seven years, having joined the station alongside Charlie Hedges in 2019.
The trio initially presented the late-evening show before moving to daytime, with Rickie and Melvin most recently hosting Radio 1’s Live Lounge programme between 10:30 and 13:00.
In a joint statement, Rickie and Melvin said: “Presenting on the station has been an unforgettable experience, and we are incredibly grateful to the entire team and, most importantly, our brilliant listeners.”
Charlie Hedges will remain at Radio 1 and will be joined by Jeremiah Asiamah on the Live Lounge programme from September.
Charlie said she was sending her “love and respect” to Rickie and Melvin, while promising that she and Jeremiah would bring a “chaotic energy” to the show.
Dean McCullough is also leaving the station after joining Radio 1 in 2021. He initially hosted weekend afternoons before later moving to the weekday Early Breakfast programme.
Nat O’Leary, James Cusack and Swarzy will also leave the schedule.
The departures come as Radio 1 introduces a number of new and expanded presenting roles.
Mylo and Rosie will take over weekday Early Breakfast from 04:00 until 07:00, while Emil Franchi becomes the new presenter of Weekend Breakfast.
Vicky Hawkesworth will be joined by Charley Marlowe from Friday to Sunday between 10:30 and 13:00.
Lauren Layfield will host a new standalone programme, The Official Chart: First Look, live from Birmingham each Sunday between 16:00 and 19:00.
GK Barry will also present a series of programmes across the year, beginning with a six-week run from 10 September.
Aled Haydn Jones, Head of BBC Radio 1, said the new schedule would bring together established presenters, new talent and music from the UK and beyond.
The refreshed Radio 1 schedule begins in September.
