Chris chose Gary Lucy over Scott as his dream housemate
Scott had heard Chris on another Radio 1 programme being asked which colleague he would most like to live with.
Chris had not hesitated.
Gary Lucy.
Scott regarded this as a betrayal.
They spent hours together every week.
Surely he should at least have been considered.
Chris argued that working together did not automatically mean they should share a home.
Scott then pretended he would not choose Chris either.
The grievance became slightly less convincing once Scott admitted he was perfectly happy seeing Chris for only a few hours a day.
Brother or Lover became Sister or Kissed Her
The relationship game returned with two women.
The programme renamed it Sister or Kissed Her.
Liv and Lola joined.
One was either the other’s sister or her partner.
The team worked through the usual deliberately intrusive questions.
Lola had recently moved into writing and admitted she had written a song about Liv.
Liv had never heard it.
Scott immediately thought this sounded intensely romantic.
Lola absolutely refused to perform it on Radio 1.
The clues kept pointing towards lovers
The pair normally went to festivals and concerts together.
Liv worked in fashion and sometimes offered Lola clothing advice.
For Lola’s birthday, Liv had bought several presents, including candles, artwork and a new phone.
They had also been underwear shopping together.
Scott thought the answer had become obvious.
Chris agreed.
So did most of the production team.
They could hear affection in the voices.
The secret song felt decisive.
Four people locked in lovers.
Only producer Amy went with sisters.
Amy was completely right
The reveal came.
Liv and Lola were sisters.
The studio immediately collapsed.
Every apparently romantic clue had a perfectly normal sibling explanation.
The song had not been a declaration of love.
The presents were generous because they were close.
Underwear shopping was simply something sisters could do.
Amy had ignored all the noise and got the answer right.
Scott and Chris admitted Sister or Kissed Her might be even harder than Brother or Lover.
Viral videos and Real or No Real closed the show
The programme also returned to internet clips and a Christian-themed Real or No Real round.
The exact quiz subject was almost secondary.
After Liv and Lola, Scott had already been reminded that even apparently overwhelming evidence could turn out to mean the opposite.
