20 December 2007: The Livestock Lounge – Kissing Mystery Animals Blind

In a chaotic and hilarious special edition of the Live Lounge renamed the “Livestock Lounge,” Scott is blindfolded and tasked with identifying mystery animals by kissing them—with predictably comedic results involving a turkey, a guinea pig, and a singing toy goat.

The Livestock Lounge is Scott’s bizarre new feature where he must identify animals solely through kissing them while blindfolded, with the promise of “just a little peck” rather than full contact. The feature is framed as a counterpoint to other show stunts, with Scott defending the concept to a skeptical Chappers.

Scott’s first animal encounter is awkward from the start. After some reluctance and physical comedy, he identifies the animal as a beaver based on its soft, long hair—only to remove his blindfold and discover it’s actually Ronald the turkey. The Christmas timing makes the mix-up even more unfortunate, as Scott realizes he’ll now forever associate his Christmas dinner with his mistaken beaver identification.

The second animal, Rocky, proves far more aggressive and chaotic. When brought forward, it bites the microphone and pinches Scott during the encounter. Despite struggling with the feisty creature, Scott initially guesses it’s a capuchin monkey. When he removes his blindfold, he discovers to his horror that Rocky is actually a fairy—leading to an awkward moment involving 13-year-old Jason, who’d been part of the setup.

The final animal is deliberately mysterious, with cryptic noises and hints. After some resistance from Scott, who’s increasingly wary after the previous encounters, he correctly identifies it as a goat—though it turns out to be a toy goat that sings. The segment ends with Scott thoroughly frazzled but the bit successfully delivering on its promise of chaos and genuine confusion.
