5 January 2018: James served an affair with divorce papers at Heathrow

Jan Slam offered the Super Bowl

Scott and Chris unveiled one of the biggest Jan Slam prizes yet: two tickets to Super Bowl LII in Minnesota, with travel included.

The attraction was not limited to the match. Justin Timberlake was due to perform the halftime show.

NFL analysts Jason Bell and Osi Umenyiora joined the programme to explain just how enormous the event was. Osi had won the Super Bowl twice with the New York Giants and could speak from experience about the scale of the occasion.

The only less attractive part was Minnesota’s January weather, with temperatures being discussed in the region of minus 20 degrees.

James did not get into the hot tub

Private investigator James returned to finish the story he had begun at the end of 2017.

A wife suspected her husband of cheating. James followed the husband and another woman from London to Paris and then onward to Spain.

At their Spanish hotel, the couple became friendly with James without realising he was the investigator secretly photographing them.

Eventually they invited him back to their room to see the hot tub.

James declined.

He invented an excuse about an early flight and escaped before the surveillance operation became considerably more complicated.

The divorce papers were waiting at arrivals

By this point the client had seen enough evidence and arranged divorce papers.

When the husband eventually returned to Heathrow with the other woman, one of James’s colleagues waited in arrivals and served him.

James remained nearby with the camera.

He photographed the husband’s face at the exact moment he realised what had happened.

The client later apparently liked that photograph enough to keep it prominently, giving the surveillance case an unusually theatrical ending.

Scott compared the arrivals-hall scene with the opening of *Love Actually*, except instead of affectionate reunions somebody was being handed divorce papers.
