Another song had already been used for a break-up
The previous day’s musical break-up confessions continued.
Ben remembered cheating on a girlfriend as a teenager and later trying to express his feelings using a lyric from Mumford & Sons.
The problem was that his girlfriend recognised it.
She had used the same lyric on somebody else months earlier.
Scott and Chris decided that if two people independently reached for the same borrowed break-up language, perhaps they had been unusually well matched after all.
New Zealand radio supplied a competition nightmare
Scott also returned to a clip from New Zealand radio where a caller was asked to provide a question for an answer that had already been supplied.
The simple format collapsed when the caller repeatedly failed to understand what was being requested.
For Scott and Chris, it represented the nightmare version of live radio: a game with an obvious rule becoming more confusing each time the presenter tried to explain it.
Chris revealed his vegan detector
Chris then announced what he considered a genuine superpower.
He thought he could tell whether somebody was vegan simply by hearing them speak.
The theory was tested in a new game called Meat and Two Veg.
Three callers were presented without their diets being revealed.
Chris correctly identified Carly from Southampton as vegan.
He also correctly decided that Liam from London ate meat, with brisket among the evidence revealed afterwards.
The third caller completed a perfect round.
Scott was forced to accept that, however ridiculous the premise sounded, Chris had somehow got everybody right.
Jan Slam entered the TARDIS
The latest Jan Slam prize offered tickets to an exclusive premiere connected with the new series of *Doctor Who* and the chance to meet the Thirteenth Doctor.
Scott and Chris recognised that meeting the new Doctor before the series properly began made the prize particularly difficult for fans to obtain any other way.
