Hip Hop Karaoke
Scott was trying not to talk to Chappers last night, as George and Chappers didn’t turn up to Hip Hop Karaoke. Chappers claimed it was a South Manchester Mum’s day out. It turns out he was actually having a drink with the one that doesn’t speak from another show, and Vernon Kay. However, Laura and Scott did go.
You can’t help looking away when Scott attempts to sing…
Scott was shocked by some of the lyrics in the Hip Hop Karaoke folders. But did they manage to rock the mic, rock the mic, right? First it was ‘Don’t Phunk with My Heart’ by the Black Eyed Peas. Laura still managed to sound like Mel B, but Scott was sounding a bit like James Hewitt. He, however, seems to think there’s something Mike Skinner about it – more like Ethel Skinner. There was more after 9 o’clock where Scott grossed Chappers out with his rendition of ‘Candy Shop’ by Fiddy Cent. I don’t know about 50 cent, more like Mr 50p. Throughout their performances the audience at the pub sat there with their mouths wide open in shock. And I don’t think that’s because they wanted Scott to ‘melt in their mouth’.

Six Weeks of Summer… Starting in Majorca
The running joke of the show seemed to be asking Scott if he had his passport for Majorca, as he always manages to forget something. In a Generation Game style, a female and male finalist were the finalists appeared in the studio today. In turn they had to recall items packed in Scott’s suitcase. In the end it was the female that remembered the most, probably because of shopping experiences, and it meant they were the ones going to Majorca. Scott’s suitcase consisted of items such as a newspaper, OK magazine, condoms and a pork pie. Scott’s live from Majorca in his BBQ show on Saturday afternoon at 4pm.
Education for the Nation!
The holidays were on today, and one or two teachers were on expressing their excitement. One admitted she doesn’t do a lot of marking over those 12 weeks of holidays, and she doesn’t like children, she just wants the holidays. That was a joke apparently. But many teachers were claiming she was was just an extreme exception to the occupation. The last day is all about the end of year assemblies, and one poor girl has to sing to in front of all her classmates. Good luck with that. Scott believed it was almost as bad as him having to do Hip Hop Karaoke… because obviously being a bit drunk in a pub is so much scarier than singing sober in a high school assembly.
All that happens is crappiness…
Another Orson telegram today, the final one of the fortnight, and it ends on a happy note. Claire wanted to propose to Dave. Orson used the power of a modified ‘Happiness’ to convince Dave before he gave a certain ‘yes’ to the proposal.
Can he ‘rock the mic, rock the mic, right’ like Scott has already?

Scott couldn’t resist playing the exclusive of Robbie Williams’ new single, out in September. My opinion is it sounds more like some sort of 80s style song like Paula Abdul, mixed with Daft Punk. I’m not sure this will grow on me, and even Victoria Newton off of The Sun has branded it ‘rap with a silent c’, and claims it’s one of the worse songs she’s ever had to listen to. Well at least Scott liked it…

Jono’s views on the show today
I thought it was quite a disappointing show today, there didn’t seem to be a lot going on bar the Hip Hop Karaoke. Most of the work was most likely to have been going on the show for Saturday.
And as for the fortnight?
In my view, the first two shows started off shaky, but the show did pick up majorly, and turned out to be very successful. The Breakfast Show format did take a day or two to get used to, but once you’ve adapted to the idea Scott plays more music than Chris it’s not so bad.
