Merry Christmas, treacle!
Scott and Laura were up in time for the live Christmas Day show from 10am. Laura had bought Scott the fabulous present of a Princess Diana memorial tea set. It’s what she would have wanted, Laura claims. She also had the job of producing the shows over Christmas.
Today’s show was made up of the best bits of 2005, including the “Jubblies” You’ve Been Busted, the Tweenies Random Act of Kindness and a Takeaway Game.
The webcam was on, but there was no Scott or Laura to be found. Scott reassured us that the web team had simply turned it on in the wrong studio, and that the show wasn’t on tape.
People were still claiming Scott wasn’t live, so he challenged listeners to call in and said he’d put them straight through on air. One of the lucky callers was me, and yes, I was on the wine by about 11. I’m as bad as Laura’s mum, who was already on the port by then. A big thank you to them both for putting me on air, and for the mention of the website.
There were lots of children singing, one rather scary and mysterious caller, one who wanted to big up his family and friends, and plenty ringing just to check whether Scott really was live.
Flirt Divert had a festive theme: one guy had been given the number while delivering a turkey, and there were carol singers among the other messages. Funny as usual, though by that point the wine was well and truly on.
Scott also left a Christmas message for everyone on the forum, and Chappers and Dave were on from 10am on Boxing Day.
Merry Christmas!
