I noticed a lot of AP's were called Producers on the banner on HeadCam, so I dont htink its anything to go by. Laura was off today so Pippa was probably acting up to Producer for today.

I have been absoulutely addicted to HeadCam, its been brilliant. If the team read this, very well done. I thought the Mills one was really good, nice and chatty and relaxed while songs were playing and answering questions instead of them running around the shop and giving me motion sickness! Madmansteve, I thought Greg really enjoyed it? It went back to him for the film section and the Ben/Rhys part. I think Greg just looked really tired today....he kept rubbing his eyes!

Oh dont get me wrong, I am a massive fan of Nick Grimhaw and am absolutely delighted that his drop was only 40,000. I think thats a fantastic result. I think it really told the haterz where to shove it, because they really wanted him to fail dramatically! My comment before was on Radio 1 as a whole...

They did actually announce it on the show a while back...and as you say, have made lots of on air references.

Last AAA was 2010 I believe. Loved it. I really am looking forward to this AAA. I love looking at the behind the scenes stuff at Radio 1, its fascinating.

I really like the breakfast show, but I anticipated a bigger decrease actually for Nick Grimshaw! I thought the Moyles loyalists would have a bigger impact on fibures. I predict it'll rise next quarter for him. Radio 1 have lost 574,000 listeners and about 1% of audience share - what is going on!! BlueSkies, where have you got that data from?

Yawn to the above post... Cant people just accept it was time for a change? Sure, I liked Moyles too but his time was up a while ago. His RAJARs have been consistantly falling for a while and he just wasnt relevant to a youth audience any more. Being 38, around as others in the studio of a similar age, the chat was about kids, chickens, and how he stayed in in evenings a lot of the time. And I always got the impression he didnt like music! Sure, I'm bias because I like Nick Grimshaw, but can people not appreaciate he is really relevant? He is youthful, talks about the right things appropriate to target audience and is ACTUALLY interested in new music and goes out to gigs, much like Greg James. His team are fresh and different and vibrant. I really like the change. I'm unsure what is going to happen with the RAJARs, they might indeed fall, but what matters is they are broadcasting to the correct audience, and not 30+ who are not target audience for Radio 1. All the controller wants is for the average age to drop, less concerned if acutal number of listeners falls. So I think the chances of him losing the slot is highly unlikely.

Beccy was saying on twitter that she is going full time with the Impact and Development team/big events. I'm slightly confused/in mourning, so maybe I dont fully understand the situation but I thought her diagnosis of MS meant she had to go part time due to physical excertion of a 5 day commute from Reading but it seems she is moving to a full time, off-air role. Can anyone explain this decision for me?

I am just so gutted that my favourite member of the team is leaving. Not only is it a great loss to losing her to an off-air role when she is just SO witty and contributes so much value to the show, its just upsetting her MS has led her to having to take a part time role. MS has such a devestating impact on peoples lives and when it affects members of my family, I can understand what she is going through. However, she is dealing with it with such courage and determination and is such a credit to other MS sufferers. I gueninely wish her the best and hope she doesnt distance herself too far from Scott Mills show, hope we keep updated on how she is and what she is up to. I think whoever is the new AP has big shoes to fill! Its just such a shame she had to leave for these reasons. I thought I'd just sign off this post with a brilliant picture Beccy posted over Christmas...

I love these kind of things, I agree with ListenToMe, its very addictive. Harkinson, I actually find it most intersting what they get up to when songs are on (like on Moyles last show). Could really see the lack of Chemistry between Dave and Chris. And actaully how pally Aled and Chris were. Was quite funny. Maybe I'm really geeky but I like to see how they were preparing for next links.

Phil and Alice sound like they might be good though!

My thoughts are that the weekday lineup is so incredibly strong now, like the best radio 1 has been in ages. The combination of Grimmy, Coxy, Scott and Greg is aweome.....but I think weekends are absolutely dire. I havent really heard much of Dan and Phil yet but im not holding out much hope! Huw is a good DJ but not suited to weekends and playlist music, I was convinced he would get the 10-midnight show. I find Gemma and Jameela quite painful to listen to and as much as I think Danny Howard is good, I think its too early to start raving at 4pm! I think Matt Edmondson might be alright, but its not difficult to come out winning amongst that selection!

Apart from Christmas eve, its all old material...

Heavens above, I doubt they would get a seperate fee! I mean they are all friends (I like to think!) so I think things like Greg James playing Innuendo Bingo etc are done out of courtesy and not out of contractual/financial obligation! And if they do get an appearance fee, Rihanna must be loaded. Still unsure what she does around the R1 offices apart from her 10 minutes a week on Gregs show! I have to say I find her laugh really irrritating on Scotts features, she is just too OTT. And when Beccy wasnt in during Tap End and they got her....christ alive it was dire. I thought it ruined Tap End, and I love that feature. Noone can beat the might Huxtable! Stick to films Rihanna!
