I agree Chappers is doing a fine job on 5 Live and maybe the way I said my last statment was wrong but the basic fact was that Chappers got the chance to go the world cup because Colin got moved to TV plain and simple.

Chappers has Chiles to thank for his role on 5 Live this summer as it would have been Colin doing his job if Chiles had not gone to ITV

Zane is a small part of the F1 coverage on the BBC he has voiced over some introduction packages to the tracks so even if he is not a F1 fan it would have been nice to see him chat to Jake

Ah yeah the only reason JK and Joel covered was Leeds had reached the play-off final and Chris as he thourght had booked the day off but thier was a breakdown in comunication between him and Rachel and she did not know he booked the day off. I think Dave and the team did the first hour of that show before JK and Joel came in around the 8.00 news when it was clear Chris was not showing up that day. To be fair to Chris he has covered for the show after him a few times at least twice that I can remember on the Friday of Glastonbury 05 when Jo studio at Glastonbury got flooded and when Coxy was covering for Jo one day in 08 when she was ill he did a five and a half hour show.

I think R1 have learned from thier mistake with JK and Joel letting them rot on early breakfast and not giving them Edith show which they should have done. So when Edith wanted to move to weekends they give Greg the show as a stopgap before in the longterm moving him onto drive when scott leaves drive.

This was not in the pipeline before he left Scott's show as Arlo White was not offered his new job in Seattle until after Christmas. Anyway been good to hear him this week good debut Monday night show. He was also on Tueday Night filling in for Mark Pougatch and is on tonight again filling in for Ellie Oldroyd

Chappers 5 Live show will be live as some Monday nights it will feature live EPL matches. His show on BBC 1 won't be live I don't think as the north west host of the show Tony Livesey show on 5 Live is on at the same time as Late Kick Off

Mabye if they had Dave cover for Coxy when she is on maternity leave they could have a different co-host every week.

It won't be Ben Jacobbs as he has been dropped by the BBC due to his conduct on one of his shifts on 5 Live and it won't be George Riley as he will be working on Gabby Logan new 5 live show in the new year

Okay I forgot about Nick and Annie. But Out of the them all only Nick and Annie are advertised as a double act the rest may work on the show but are not advertised as a double act.

I don't see why if R1 wanted him and Dave to carry on covering shows and he wanted to just do that then he could as it not like he is leaving the Beeb. I can now also see why they are trying out Jaymo and Andy Geroge as every radio station needs a double act

So that's why there no Chappers and Dave in the christmas/new year schdule

Chappers first job on ESPN is hosting a weekend review show with Kelly Cates next monday night at 7PM

Loving the fact that Andy George, Jaymo and Daniel P Carter come out for night-time and in to the day. Andy and Jaymo are still only on In New DJ's We Trust and have covered for Annie and now on Daytime R1 must have plans for them in the future

Chappers is not really getting more work at 5 Live he has present 3 Five Live Sports this year and won't be getting a regular role as they have just had a presenter shake up. He only covered Colin show yesterday due to the fact the guys who usally stand in were not avalible. When Chappers does leave I would love them to get Geroge Riley from 5 Live he would be the perfect replacement
