  1. I watched it all last night... brilliant!
  2. Lol yes u r soooo right... it was soo go then with The Rock, Stone Cold, Triple H Dudley boys, Too Cool, Big show, Chris Benoit... ahh good times!
  3. Personally I will not be voting. It will only go to show Gordon Brown what he can't quite get to grips with, which is that no one trusts him. The expenses leaks coming out now just show how pretty much every MP takes the piss out of the tax payers. General election wise, there are only two real parties who will ever win, and both are just as bad as each other
  4. I thought it was brilliant. Loads of people in the office were talking about it and overheard a few admitting they actually fell for it and were jumping around telling partners they should call up and find out about it...
  5. I will apply for tickets, but doubtful I will be one of the lucky ones!
  6. Reading festival for me it looks like a pretty good lineup this year!
  7. I kept this thread in the back of my mind when I went on my recent US holiday. Never did I expect it to be as bad as suggested. We had on 95.3 Orlando's number 1 for hip hop and they literally only have 3 songs and its just repeated all day with a few randoms thrown in. All the other stations were the same... if I hear "you spin me right round baby right round" or "my poker ker ker ker face" again, I think I will probably go crazy!!
  8. Having looked up quickly, Lenovo have recently released the attached laptop with a 10inch screen and a pretty good spec for £290... slightly more than the other machines listed here though :-( http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/gbweb/LenovoPortal/en_GB/catalog.workflow:expandcategory?issBase=ProductsCategory&issCategory=/Notebooks/IdeaPad%20notebooks
  9. I got a virus very similar to this... even with this bloody update. I had to reformat my computer as it wouldn't even start up. When the virus downloaded itself, I had various programs I'd never heard of trying to connect to the internet. Total pain in the arse!!
  10. Most likely that this is the exact cause of it. The BBC has to be seen as clear cut now, nothing naughty or potentially controversial anymore because of two idiots (but also worsened by the media). The media regulator also received a complaint about badly bleeped tv, so I doubt we will be hearing that feature again. Shame really:cry:
  11. Which is even more worrying considering how sparsely populated the country is!
  12. Canada is quite a tough country to get into traditionally in terms of immigration. I haven't looked fully at Canada in my quest to get out of the UK, but with the US you need a sponsor, i.e an employer who can argue the case for employing you and not a US citizen. I should imagine as this is the case with the UK and US, Canada is probably quite similar... provided you meet the other requirements. Where abouts in Canada do you have in mind, because that could also determine the likelyhood of you getting a job... for example in Quebec I think it is... you have to be fluent in French for any hope of getting a job there! http://www.skillclear.co.uk/canada/canada-work-visa-permit.asp
  13. No, it isn't their fault. However, what I was implying that the obese people who can't be bothered to change their diets and instead, run straight to the NHS for a gastric band(or whatever they are called), body fat removal etc should make a contribution towards their treatment. On the other hand, if the problem is genetic and the patient has tried everything to cut their weight... the NHS should pay fully for their treatment. Why should someone who is going to continue eating 10 hamburgers a day etc, who will most likely be back in a year or 2 for the same treatment, recieve this treatment for free I clicked straight onto this thread via the notices at the top which said "should fat people pay for the NHS" I am not implying that patients shouldn't be treated because they are obese, I am simply implying that if they go to the NHS for treatment for their actual obesity, depending on whether they have tried everything possible or whether they are just going there because they cant be arsed to change their diet, should result in whether they should contribute or not. Perhaps I misunderstood the question and thought it was implying "should fat people be treated in terms of cutting their weight, flab". Regardless of whether the patient is obese, treatment for anything else should remain free. Nope, I don't think they have paid enough tax. However On an individual basis if you smoke 30 a day you have paid £40 in tax for one week, over a year £2080. Without doing the proper background research I can't say, for example, how much treatment for lung cancer costs per individual. They are paying that price for both their nicotine fix, but also in a way an expectation that the NHS will have to treat them for their dirty habbit... so are consiously/subconsiously contributing towards their treatment in the future.
  14. Exactly, which is why the UK probably has one of the highest prices of cigarettes in Europe. Mainland Spain you can get a pack of 200 for about £7. In the UK that same pack will cost the smoker in excess of £50. I think morbidly obese people should make a very small contribution to their treatment, when the aren't doing anything actively to change their eating habits and cut their weight, and generally just cant be arsed should pay. Those who have tried everything, and still cant cut their weight, should rreceive the help they need from the NHS free of charge. The NHS is already struggling with budget cuts/potential hospital closures through poor management, thousands of pounds spent on someone who has failed to keep control of their diets and does nothing to change their diets, is not affordable, there is no fair means of recovering that cost by taxing fast food to the sky. This is especially important when the government decides to spend the equivalent of the NHS annual budget on a failed bail out plan for the banks for disgusting mismanagement.
  15. For some people, yes it is a waste of money. It essentially all depends on what your desire is to do in life. Some job opportunities that you may want to pursue require a degree as a minimum, and if thats what you want to do then uni is well worth it. If thats not your cup of tea, uni is a waste of money and there are plenty of other career paths to follow. I think another key aspect of uni is the whole meeting of new people is almost priceless. Currently at work I am forever meeting new people and working with people I met only 5 minutes before, would this have been as easy without going through that experience in an "easier" environment... its difficult to say but probably not.
  16. Advice... make sure you clearly state that it isn't moderated by Radio 1 and isn't an official fan page. Both very important points to make!
