Reality shows are cheap and easy for TV channels - you don't have to pay most of the people appearing on it, you just set up some cameras and it all unfolds in front of your eyes. Easy. No chance they're disappearing any time soon.

I imagine this was meant to be a celebration after Amir's fight last night. Didn't quite go to plan that...

You do realise that was ten times wittier than the standard of your puns on here?

They could easily just work on different half hour cycles. Apart from 5pm, all the Radio 1 bulletins in daytime are at half past the hour. Could just have 1xtra news at the top of the hour and use the same newsreader.

The live feed concept is nice, but the muddled collection of photos below it just seems to be a random mess. Needs some order to it.

Scott's wearing his costume back to front

Probably doesn't help that it's the week before Edinburgh, which I'm sure is what they're all focused on at the moment.

I'm guessing this is an old story that Scott has mentioned on air a number of times before (and I think he even mentioned it briefly yesterday) where he hid from his new German friend who he met at the disco.

Both Colin and Chappers were doing R1 and 5 Live at the same time for a period. After that they both made the same decision to focus on their 5 Live work.

Zane, Jo Whiley and Steve Lamacq are doing a Glasto preview show that is simulcast on R1, R2 and 6 Music. Presumably Scott has to go on til 8 so that the schedules match up with the other stations.

I don't think that's the issue at hand, in fact it's quite the opposite. Working in a care home is something where the employee would have to be well-qualified for the job at hand - people aren't going to be forced into that job. Instead I think the issue is people with good academic qualifications and high expectations being asked to stack shelves at a supermarket for instance. They might feel that it's not the sort of job they should be expected to do, and to be honest I can sympathise with that. Tough one to judge.
