Radio 1 was still recovering from the Escape Room
Scott and Chris began Wednesday still talking about Greg’s release.
They replayed the collapsing-door ending and the pyrotechnics.
Scott remained jealous.
He now wanted his own daily 4pm exit to involve the studio wall falling down and fireworks going off.
Chris thought the novelty might wear off after one afternoon.
Scott disagreed.
The bed story had reached Bella
Scott’s naked visit to Greg’s house had also produced some awkward aftermath.
He had apparently chosen the side of the bed normally used by Greg’s wife Bella.
Scott suspected that explained some of the hostility towards him.
Chris again asked why he had needed to remove everything.
Scott argued that if you were given access to somewhere interesting, it was normal to try the bed or use the toilet.
Chris compared this with Scott previously photographing toilets at places such as Number 10.
The defence did not become more convincing.
Beards became relationship disclosure
The previous day’s beard discussion continued.
Listeners described partners whose appearance changed dramatically after shaving.
One woman said a man she had met in Australia during Movember looked completely different once January finally persuaded him to remove the beard.
She no longer fancied him in the same way.
Chris asked whether somebody who began a relationship with one look and then dramatically changed it had effectively misrepresented themselves.
Scott stopped short of calling that cheating.
He accepted that facial hair could completely alter attraction.
Nicole made her celebrity list
Then Nicole from Pontypridd returned.
Scott and Chris had decided her natural interview style deserved to be tested on famous people.
They had asked her to produce a list of celebrities she would genuinely love to interview.
Nicole did not need ten.
She had a much more specific shortlist.
At number one was Eamonn Holmes.
Scott was delighted because he had expected a pop star, YouTuber or reality contestant.
Nicole simply loved Eamonn.
She described him as warm and cosy and admitted she had previously commented on his Instagram photographs.
This Morning dominated the list
Nicole also chose Phillip Schofield, revealing a strong *This Morning* theme.
Scott began imagining a proper series in which Nicole interviewed the people she genuinely admired rather than celebrities Radio 1 would normally choose for her.
The format would work precisely because Nicole did not approach them like a conventional interviewer.
Her questions came from genuine curiosity.
The team decided to try to make the first one happen.
Eamonn Holmes was now officially the target.
