Chris considered becoming a dungarees person
Chris had noticed more people around Radio 1 wearing dungarees and briefly wondered whether he could join them.
A shopping attempt was less convincing.
The fit was wrong, the overall look did not feel natural and a mocked-up image of Chris in dungarees produced more discussion about what was visible through the outfit than about fashion.
Scott concluded that some people simply had the confidence required to be a dungarees person and Chris might not yet be one of them.
Kevin wanted the Kop to sing his song
Liverpool supporter Kevin had recorded a new football chant in his bedroom and uploaded it online.
The idea had gathered enough attention for Jamie Carragher to retweet it.
Kevin explained that his real ambition was not internet popularity but hearing the chant sung properly by supporters on the Kop.
Liverpool were playing Manchester City that Sunday, giving the campaign an obvious target.
Scott and Chris urged anybody attending the game to learn it, begin singing and send proof if it spread through the stand.
For Kevin, a chant moving from a bedroom video to Anfield would be the real success.
The school greeting apparently had one national tune
The show also continued its investigation into the school ritual of pupils chanting “Good morning, Mr…” followed by “Good morning, everyone.”
Listeners from different parts of Britain all seemed to remember essentially the same melody.
Nobody could explain who had written it or how generations of children knew the tune.
Scott became convinced it was somehow programmed into people at birth alongside the lyrics to “Mr Brightside”.
