Lydia Bright returned after leaving The Only Way Is Essex. She said that her departure had felt natural, although she did not rule out going back. Scott and Chris marked the occasion with their own compressed version of the programme, reducing its conversational rhythm to a rapid exchange of “You all right?” and similar greetings.

Lydia and Chris filled their mouths with water while the show played innocent broadcasts containing unfortunate phrases. A Lisa Tarbuck clip involving an “old-fashioned rod” did exactly the required damage. Lydia became thoroughly drenched and eventually required help from a hairdryer.
Blazin’ Squad and a local rumour
For Bangers, Chris selected Blazin’ Squad’s “Flip Reverse”, continuing the revival prompted by Marcel on Love Island.
Scott then confronted a rumour from his local Facebook group: Taylor Swift had supposedly been spotted in a supermarket near his home. Her boyfriend Joe Alwyn came from the area, which made the story just plausible enough for Scott to consider a stakeout.
