28 April 2016: Carol Kirkwood brings a weather front to Innuendo Bingo

Carol’s revenge forecast

Carol Kirkwood returned to Innuendo Bingo promising revenge. She discussed beginning work at 03:00, the Met Office conferences used to establish the day’s weather story and the difficulty of presenting on location without the usual studio monitors.

Before the game, Carol requested a practice and simply spat a mouthful of water at Chris without waiting for a clip. The formal contest then used material from weather forecasts, MotoGP and Rip Off Britain. Carol’s distinctive laugh rose as the water continued, while Scott repeatedly described the result as short, sharp showers in Chris’s face.

Sitting on the toilet

Chris revealed that his girlfriend’s family WhatsApp group had become obsessed with an old online song about sitting on the toilet. Her relatives began filming their own versions, including an uncle who appeared naked apart from a chain.

Because WhatsApp automatically saved the videos, Chris now had an unwanted collection of family toilet performances on his phone. Scott found the visual evidence worse than the song and invited listeners to offer traditions capable of beating it.

The bears assemble

Rebecca explained that her family referred to one another as Beccy Bear, Vicky Bear, Mother Bear and Father Bear. Their Facebook group was called “the squad”, and a family discussion began when one member sent a recorded roar. Everybody else had to roar back before the bears could assemble.

Rebecca demonstrated live and received rapid responses from her sister and father. Scott was astonished by the speed and commitment, while other listeners reported families that sniffed new partners, winked around the dinner table or maintained a birthday clown. The bears nevertheless remained the morning’s most elaborate private ritual.

The programme also confirmed that Calvin Harris and Rihanna would release another collaboration the following day, setting up the final Breakfast show.
